i went to my DRK Maat fight about 1 yr ago.. there was no such thing as blink bind then....

I decided to use conservative/defensive strategy becuase i believed the key is to keep myself alive!

i bought 20 hi-potions
i ate steamed crab
i wore Phalanx ring x2
i enter,
i ate sleep potion and get to 100 tp
i ran to maat and Guillotine (do not use 1 hit ws coz you cannot afford to miss. with Guilly you can at least hit one? also guilly has silence effect tha t might or might not kick in)
maat hit me 90-100 per hit if i remember, i hit him for 60-100?
i always tried to keep my HP at least high yellow even it means i have to eat 3 or 4 hi-potions in a roll to do that
i did a 2nd guilly , its right before that or after that maat used 2hr. i forgot, i stunned him and ran. but i made mistake by trying to run in circles instead of runing into the tunnel so maat managed to hit me once or twice i think i ate another 2 or 3 hi-potions at this point
once maat's 2hr is over, i faced him and started to fight him face to face, after couple exchanges, i had about 500 HP at that time i think, and Maat is at around 30%? i ate IWing and ws and he gave up. I think i problly dont need to eat the wing but i want to make sure i win.

so, what i suggest you do is to buy a lot of hi-potions and maybe eat defensive food?
the main thing is too keep youself alive dont be cheap on hi-potions.

remember, only hi-potions coz x-potion takes too long to eat

also, i didn't pop SE . i could have at the end but i didn't

my good friend beat maat with melee +Att food( no sushi then) and used SE but he is a galka.

yes maat does do some low lvl nuke and they do hurt a bit. also he does abs spell as well, stun the elemental nuke if you want

but i still managed to pull through :D

Hmm, well, this is the strat i used. Took me 2 times, but only cause i screwed up my tp at start on first run. When you enter, equip opo neck, sleep pots to 100% tp. Using sole sushi is a definate plus, and lots of acc gear. (btw, snipers are really bad for maat fight -20 def total) Pull with absorb Vit, then go to work. Guillotine at start, iw, guillotine again. If most hits connect, he'll be at half hp or less. Stun his spells and toe to toe until he 2 hrs. When he uses 2hr, use urs w/souleater. May need a potion or 2 at this point, but when 100 tp again final guillotine will wipe the floor with him. Some ppl say its better to use a tav taco for def boost, but being elv. i went for the acc+ for guillotine, and ended the fight at almost half hp. (btw, dont forget drain is your friend ^^) Anyhow, hopefully this helps any other drk that need maat fight.
