What do you really think of it?

I think Limbus has potential to be fun. I hope there is more too it than what we know. Personally none of the AF1+1 looks worth it at all. WHM AF1+1 is junk. AF2 and JSE stuff is much much better.

Aside from that I really cant say I am impressed at all with this patch.

Supposedly Limbus will eventually tie in with Ultima and Omega rematches. Which are going to be fun as hell.

And Limbus itself is actually very very fun, regardless of the rewards involved. It's a lot shorter and easier to gather for and do, unlike a 4 hour dynamis raid. I can see it lasting quite a while before people get completely bored of it.

The patches are overall getting thin because of the upcoming expansion, that's where most of the development time is going.

Ket whens the expansion coming?

If they release the expansion before the end of the year, they'll be on track for a roughly 1 year per expansion schedule. From FFXI > Zilart (NA Release) > CoP (EU Release) there has been roughly or jus over a year between each.

There's no official date yet, but you wont really know until it's almost done.

Limbus:
-So far, only 8 path are "accessible". They are similar, but enough difference between every path to make them unique.
-2 "central path", 2 boss room, and protoOmega/Ultima in .dat can make us hope about something even more fun :P (depending if you liked 6-4 BC or not).

Like Ket said, those area will probably last a long time before people get bored because they are way less repetitive and laggy then dynamis.

Reward are also pretty good. Beside the fact you have to get AF1 out of the storage, most set have a few really good piece. They are kinda hard to get but it can be done for a few million.

The on AF item are really nice too, especially the 2 earring,2 cape and the ribbon.



NPC

90% of the reason NPC was annoying last patch is gone.

- You can't click him off anymore (it will "chat" with him now)
- They added a few quest involving him (well, first one was boring kinda, but I guess it will get better)
- You can use it almost everywhere now, beside BC and capped area (people said there is a rendez vous point in promyvion...not sure if it's true or not)
-My NPC at level 50 seem to last a lot longer then it was at first. Considering I can use her anywhere now, it could be useful at time
-They added a new pearl letting you summon your npc a few more time a day.

I'm confused though. Is there a level cap for Limbus, or are the rewards simply used on your AF1?

No level cap. You upgrade your AF1 like you would upgrade Relic weapons using the coins and rare/ex materials dropped in Limbus. You lose the AF1 and get AF1+1 in return

Square is just trying to force me to get off my lazy arse and complete the CoP missions.

I only took a cursory look at the AF1+1 for Bards, but several of the pieces seemed quite nice. The Body hands and legs which were all good pieces before are now even better, and still better in their own way than Bard AF2.

a new pearl? how do you get it?

and on the Limbus subject, i like the idea. takes a lot less people than dynamis, and by the sounds of it you dont know what to expect. now i have another reason why i need to beat CoP (i like this smilie by the way)

Dunno how you get the new pearl, I think it's the 2nd NPC quest they added in update, but you might need lv 50 too
