because way back when in manaknightz. they would always leave the linkshell to do high lvl stuff and i was always lvl 30 and wondering what they were doing!

hmm. i guess i can't think of many ranger rivals. mainly because i was never envious of good gear. i always new i could buy stuff if i didn't blow it on crafting.

I do, but only for a lil bit, that is because it went dead when Avo left and shortl after.. HObo left. and most of time thy are gone doing other stuff...

I met Avoloc when I was 55 PLD trying to get my Eldieme coffer key. He came up to my group as 75RDM/37NIN and asked if we needed help (none of us knew him). I always thought lvl 75s were kinda stuck up...but he was so nice I couldn't believe it. And he was such a good player. He soloed mobs for like 3 hours that night with no drop. The next day he sent me a /tell and offered to go back in and help me again. It seriously took about 3 more hours till we got a drop. Then he snuck me around Eldieme for another hour+ until we ofund the coffer. That was the nicest thing anybody has ever done for me in the game (that I didn't know). He was a big motivation for me. I should have mentioned him. I wanted to be badass like he was.

Manaknights was started by Starscream or something who ended up leaving cause of RL and only Hobo and Avo could give out pearls.

Eh, sadly most people who play RDM have a bit of an superiority complex. Don't blame us, blame the way the game is designed. Not nearly as bad as "Bard syndrome" or pre patch "Ranger syndrome" however.

I'm not arrogant. I'm just confident in what I know I can do and I could care less if I die taking risks, heh.

red mage was classically a job that was strong in the early game and useless in the end game. i guess that's not a viable formula for ffxi.

I don't seem to lack for things to do at end game. Chainspell stun is mighty popular.

yeh quite the opposite actually... rdms are pretty usless pre-refresh and then they become the mvps of every event.

A RDM is as useful as they want to make themselves. The more subs, the better. The more knowledge they have of each sub and how to use them properly, the more useful they are and of course having equipment for those situations is also ideal, (like physical damage reduction gear for rdm/war tanking is nice.)

It's funny that in a thread that asks who your biggest nemesis/enemy was, alot of people listed their biggest idol. lol.

Maybe their envious to the point where they are their biggest nemesis. lol

I don't have any nemesis/enemy. There are a few people I don't like and certainly don't respect. No one has ever done such great harm to me that I would consider them an enemy. I just ignore them
