Jonna (I think that's the spelling, need to doublecheck with Nickg) was selling used hourglasses in Port Jeuno last night for 40k each. Just an FYI if he shows up on one of your Dynamis raids.

Theres not really much you can do about people just bazaaring their used Hourglasses away, for whatever price. If people will pay it, it's their own fault for assuming its worth what someone is bazaaring it for.

However, I remember reading once about people who were sending out shouts to people to buy their hourglasses because they did some stupid effect (They "supposedly" doubled EXP or something), that's when its wrong, imo.

Another note, Hourglasses can't be duplicated once they have expired, so if someone that shouldnt seems to have a whole bunch of them, they were made while people were preparing to enter dynamis.

This guy was doing shouts for them saying that anyone could use them to get in dynamis and make a ton of money. I think Nickg shouted out a warning about that but he was still going at it when she boarded the airship.

I tried to explain to a few people i saw selling these. They had like 4 of them in Bazaar for 20K each that were dated July 25 2004. I sent them a few tels telling them they were worthless and they should find another way of making money. But they just sent me a tell with a ? and i just gave up. Some idiots can't be helped.

Did they change them in a recent patch? I'm sure an expired hourglass now says:

<-------------- --:-- --/--/-->

as its expiry time. If they show a date/time, they are still valid.

Yeah I saw someone with an used hourglass too in his bazaar in Jeuno. It was dated July 25, Dyn. San D'Oria. I took a pic, i'll post it when I'll get home.

yeah it was Jonna. The selling point they indicated was that people could create their own hour glasses to sell on the AH for lots of money. I put a shout out for people to beware of expired glasses, and that it only benefits very high level people who are planning to do a dynamis so all of the qufim/kazham etc level 'noobs' wouldn't get suckered in to paying for it thinking it was a great investment.

That real dumb when someone gets rip off why not the broken hourglass just add EX when used so they cant sell or trade it no more. :x
