how about a city you can only enter if you have beaten a lot of hard BC's AND playtime above 275days to keep the noobs out (well some of them) and maybe have it so you need 3+ 75 jobs to enter

Apparently Aht Urghan or w/e, the major city in the expansion will be laid out like a new Jeuno. Whether people really use it or not, I dunno, maybe new teleport magic will make it an efficient hub. Also the fact that you'll have to be at a certain point in the game to access the palace will weed out some lag.

And we need a new exclusive zone that has the dropse from sky, with the look of sea, haha (And more mage gear that really does something useful).

Come on, you can beat any mission with pratically any xp setup. Someone with one job and one subjob will obviously be disadvantaged, but it's still not that bad.


The best time I had in this game was my first time through most of those BC with Ilm, Remey, Corwin, Rein, Ruby, Hcc and Mrukk. It was kinda fun to figure a strats and win after a few attempt.

Tavnazia is very much like Jueno, in fact probably more convient than since there's a billion ways to enter it from all around vanadiel and convient exiting as well.
However, not many people use it as a substitute for Jueno and to be honest I dont think any other city created will do that either.
I suppose the real only convience of Jueno is the fact that it is overpopulated. You can find pt's, people, bazaars more readily with the huge traffic through it. Which I suppose is why it'll always be our mecha city. We could outsource to other cities but our player base specifically choses not to. So another major town which is a jueno/tavnazia clone but with like 20 people in it at any given time, really doesn't serve much practicall purpose but feeling special you got there and others didn't.

Really, in the expansion, I'd like high end hnm mobs created that specifically need forgotten job classes to effectively fight.
Give all the drk's drgs and sam's a chance to play and feel wanted once in a while.
For a time SMN kinda was in that rut until wyrms were created and people learned smn is pretty decent for certain effects. So smn's went from a myth of having no great purpose to accepted if not saught after.
There's a down side to that though. As smn was then kinda abused, and pretty much everyone on the server leveled it there after which may or may not give the original gung-ho players of smn feel it was cheapened.

I dont want to see any one job class exploited but maybe just something that having 2 or so of that job class in the alliance is a great help to the battle. Like say, you had to have arcane circle to fight the mob effectively, and needed a couple sam's to time that job ability between one another.

I dont want to see peopel who say drg crap job for no reason all the time, but then level drg all of a sudden because a mob like wyrm is to smn is introduced that drg have a large advantage over. But I'd like to see more of these jobs balanced out and have something special they can feel appreciated for.
For someone who has say, drk leveled, their ls to say "hey, we need you as drk!"


I'd like to see more "rewards" for support jobs. Something nice for whm's etc who rarely receive very much but are always expected to participate in everything under the sun. Especially for jobs that sometimes aren't as interesting as say a melee job is.

Battle music for unengaged party members please. ><

Things to do within the main new city besides staring at the ah.
Maybe have access to all guilds, or a mini game,fishing dock, anything really. I think one of this game's low points is that its very difficult to make parties or find the neccesary numbers in the proper job allocations required for any at all task. Which means there's a lot of downtime which can extend for rediculous lengths of time where you wish to play but cant. And there's nothing really around you to make you feel like youre 8+ hours lfg or organizing is actually being productive or worth your time investment.
I think that's probably one of the turn-offs of ffxi is there's a lot of time sinks involved but hardly no instant gratification "just for fun" or "really quick cause I only have x time" to do. Unless you can literally spend an entire day to be ready for anything (and not neccesarily what you want to do) you're kinda screwed in the end.
Itd be nice if there were more things that could appeal to casual players, and dont have to be majorilly rewarding. But just to feel like the game rewards skill versus how much free time you have. IE a great player can be screwed over but a guy with no job or girlfriend can reep all the rewards.
SE slowly creeping towards that, by making events that take less peopel and less time. And more time sinks for the horrifically bored like NPC pets. I think they'll have to continue in that trend to keep up with our new Xbox buddies.

I thought of this too, when I saw Brush, Carb, Kammy, Makeyio, Vilian, Xiangbao levelling in an all smn party in valkurm last night, now they're in Qufim.

all mob link - NQ 85+, HQ 90+ (random pop 1hr)

get a NPC in the entrance to warp people in... so you cant zone in and out for getting rid of hate

teleport, escape and warp 1,2 disable

allow us to use 2 sj../

PLD/WAR+RDM?
DRG/SAM+WAR?
NIN/WAR+BLM?
BLM/RDM+SMN? maybe. .

I like the ideas of making other jobs more needed, it'd really expand the playbase. if you look at the endgame job relations you'll see alot of BLMs WHMs RDMs NINs WARs etc but very few of the other jobs

Suicide booth would be funny... but people basically do that by ingesting poison in Jueno and dying in a line.

I just want one of the new jobs to be fun to play haha. That and some HNMs that aren't 24+hr pops... repeat sky if that is all they can think of really.. at least sky worked somewhat. Either that or more tiered BCs like the Bahamut shit they are doing.
