The only music I really disliked was dynamis. Everything else was good. I actually liked that it was quiet in alot of places.

i thought the interface was great but i was comparing it to the likes of FF1, etc. i did have many complaints like they f'd up the seek-party interface. but i got comfortable with macros and menus.

Only Dynamis music I liked was Dynamis-Xarcabard. Everything else was crap in Dynamis lol. Yeah the quests in FFXI were ok at the time, now that WoW exists.. they are shit lol. FFXI controls awesome as long as you use the PS2 controller and not the keyboard. Keyboard is so fucking inferior for movement and macros that it is not even a contest.

dynamis-city starts off with the deep "ahhhhhhhhh oh." chant
dynamis-ice is lots of drums and synth and one of the better tracks in ff

I guess it was just that you have to listen to the same dynamis track for like 3 hours straight that got to me lol.

My personal fav FFXI song: North and South Gustberg. Loved it.

Yeah the Gustaberg or w/e music was good and Sanctuary of Zi'Tah was pretty decent from what I remember. Really haven't listened to FFXI music in forever. Kinda wish I had it on when I was doing those CSs for Apocalypse Nigh though haha.

The ice zones had the Shadow Lord BCNM music and that was hot.


The problem is, compare ffxi to almost any other MMO and its pretty bad. Its so easy to see how dated the game is and that SE has no experiance in the field.

SE has a chance with ToAU and the patches coming after it to change FFXI alot. It will be critical how they balance the current jobs and how the new jobs work within the system. I am wondering what job is going to be nerfed first... puppetmaster, corsair or blue mage. Someone will find a way to use the new abilities of one of those jobs to exploit the system.

FFXI needs to have quests that give xp like WoW.... or just have ones that are setup as well as those are. I know they have some lame ass excuses as to why they can't do real instances.. probably PS2 memory. Same reason why this game will never see a graphical upgrade.

Oh well Bioware is making a new MMO.

Yeah I really liked that about WoW, even though I only played during the beta. Also discovering new areas gives exp, gotta love that.

FFXI has XP quests, I got my NIN from 20 to 23 doing quests only. Of course it'd be nice if had more, but they have them. They added 3 with CoP, hopefully they'll add more. It does kinda suck they're only once a week tho.

Yeah ENMs and Escort quests are ok. WoW has 34924503951 quests that give xp so yeah lol. WoW would be better if not for the shitty community and the MMO with training wheels feel. Some people like there to be secrets, so it is more rare for someone to do what they have done. FFXI takes the secret thing a little too far though haha.

Anyone play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for Xbox 360? I'm sorry but that game is pure pwnage atm, and i really hope they make an MMO after that.

I kinda like FFXI's music, and although it might not be the best, i think FFXI is one of the better games out there as far as muic is concerned.

You realize no one would play it more than 1 month? Real time battle would be a problem with the lag, not to mention every mosnter can be killde with kite+run strategy.

And as big as the world is, there isn't really much to do

WoW has real time battle and it works fine. They would obviously adjust the game if it were to be made a MMO. I hope it never becomes a MMO. MMOs fucking suck donkey dick.

Can you shoot arrow in WoW like you would in a shooter? ItS that kind of stuff I meant by "real time". Anyone who played planet side can tell you how horrible it is to mix MMORPG and that kind of gameplay (planet side was still fun, it's just that constant lag is killer.

Elderscroll should have a multiplayer mode like Diablo than your normal MMORPG.
