Kurt Cobain was a fucktard and an overatted piece of shit guitarist. I have been smoking weed for almost 15 years. While I have tried a ton of other drugs, I would never claim weed led me to try those drugs. Of course weed didn't get him high anymore, if you smoke it too often you forget whether you are high or not... you are in a perpetual state and there is a ceiling on most weed as far as the high goes. All drugs/alcohol do that. I remember when I built up a tolerance to alcohol and was drinking 3x the alcohol to get drunk. Same shit happens with every drug that fires dopamines in your brain. Dumbass just used weed as an excuse for why he got hooked on Heroin. I know for a fact Heroin users get to a state where they can't get high anymore either, that is probably why he killed himself lol.

You can use the windower and not hack, not everyone who uses the windower hacks or eventually was going to hack. You do not have to use the windower to hack though. In Japan I read that they sell "kits" for PS2 specifically for the purpose of hacking/botting FFXI. That is why the JP GMs won't buy the "but I play on PS2" line. SE thinks their next MMO will be hack free I am sure. I can tell you that if it has the same design as far as timesinks goes as FFXI it will be hacked to shit no matter what console it is on.

Its hard for me to stand playing ffxi without my windower but I know the reason they are doing it is because of botters, obviously. I think its worth having no windower with no botters. FFxi is dying anyways, and SE is losing interest in it too probably, especially with their new mmo. So they probably don't care about their loss of profit, since they have enough money anyways.

Edit: Oh and mikey i tried WoW for abit, the screenshots really don't do the game graphics justice, its very stylized and pretty. And my cousin explained to me about hunters, Beastmaster speced hunters seem pretty cool but, the lack of races really put me off for WoW, like I wanted to be a human but, humans can't be hunters. . .I was like wtf lol and I was also not comfortable with the over muscular design of people, I had to pick a girl character because of it lol. Still been playing eq2 because of the gorgeous graphics and character/job massive selection but, its kinda choppy and laggy. . hard to play like that. I wish there was just 1 massive mmo that had like eveyrthing there is to offer. I might try wow again when they add blood elves

Yarr, about detecting people using hacks:

Everywhere you move, everything you touch, everything you do is recorded by the server. That being said, a GM could be sitting in ronfaure, all of a sudden he sees a red flag pop up on the "Zone Information" that someone is hacking. Well, he scans everybody's account in the zone for any abnormalities within the past 10 seconds, and Yahtzee, we've found our hacker.

Also, today I wouldn't doubt that you could just scan a random person's server log and find out they've been hacking. Not to mention some people are really retarded and will flee hack through places like Jeuno because they think people won't report them because it looks like lag. I've got a few people banned because they were stupid to think like that.

Actually I think that's accurate. Windower doesn't nessecarily point you in the direction of hacks, but it can make you wonder how far you can bend the game.

We dont know that for sure. No one on this forum can say exactly how SE detects for Hacks. Thats a fact since SE keeps that information very private. I mean if you knew how SE detected hacks you would have an easier time getting around it.

Yea I can actually understand but I just disagree from my personal choice. It was more about straightending out the little bend ffxi put into my pc (no alt-tab) than bending the actual game, if that makes sense.

I'm not 100% sure, but one time while I was botting Mee Deggi, I was sent to jail and a GM said he saw "Red Flags" pop up on my account when he was scanning it. And he said basically he just presses a button and the server will tell him if a character has been hacking. That's really all the information I have about being detected.

I have never, ever seen an interview or read anything that said Cobain went from weed to heroin because it wasn't enough for him (believe me I've read and seen alot on the subject, when I was 14 I was a little geek on that crap.)

The reason (he claims in both the biography and a video interview) he started heroin because he used to get these intense stomach pains and nothing else helped that, and said basically said fuck it, may as well be a heroin junkie, he felt dead already anyway.

Granted this is retarded logic, but I've never heard him blame weed. Weed and alcohol may be considered gateway drugs but consider this--between teenagers those are the easiest to obtain. When I was in high school that and acid were all that were around, stronger things like coke, heroin etc. I never even really heard about going around.

I read a theory on BG that the reason why SE banned/suspended random people's accounts was because of their screen resolution.

THey said something about how SE can detect the resolution that you are using on your computer. And that if the FFXI background resolution (character models/enironments) doesnt match your resolution on chat windows or something, then they know you're using windower.

For instance some people who use windower at full screen, didnt get banned because the resolutions are the same as playing without windower. Buuuut for the people who dont like to minimize FFXI and just play it with a smaller screen, were analy penetrated.

Im sure someone who knows about computers can help me out with explaining this, because im 96.5% sure i totally butchered that to death.

anyway, about the whole windower thing, i shouted in jeuno that i was using the windower and that i needed help using it... no one said anything and i still havent gotten my account suspended.. its been a few days now... so im not really all that worried. not like i play enough to care either way.

just means ill save and extra 12 bucks a month for gas or food or something.

not to mention i play on the ps2 most of the time anyway... something about being able to lay in bed and use a controller is oh so satisfying.

And yes...herion is much different then other drugs. It ups the neurotransmitter Dopamine, like you mentioned, and once you have reached a new 'peak' your brain remembers it...and you can never attain that lvl of happiness again(w/o drugs). So your new baseline...is so low, you feel unhappy.

How do you type on a PS2? Keyboard attachment?

u can press a button on a ps2 controller to bring up an ingame keyboard which was oh so annoying whenever your keyboard broke, each letter was slower than text messaging on a phone but yes, PS2 has a keyboard that went in the USB port.

For the record I've called a GM while using windower before. They can't detect it, haha They may be able to see screen resolution, but in now way would that tip a GM off to a windower. If you were suspended/banned during this particular event it was for pos or a fleetool. End of story.

As much as I hate to agree with Cad, he's right. If SE was going to ban people just for using windower, and they can somehow detect it, there would be many more people suspended right now. In fact, I'm surprised they only got 2,000 accounts for hacking. Most likely just a warning call.
