Back in beta it was the same idea. The Treasure Hunter is AoE and stacks with other Theves.

Anyway thought it was kinda interesting, I doubt if this GM really knows wtf hes talking about.

stuff like this has been out for a while though, and from experiences with multiple thieves in eldieme searching for papyrus, i think it's true. We did a 4 hour experiment last time i was there, first 2 hours, we had 1 thf with TH2 and got 3 papyrus. Second 2 hours, we had 3 thieves with TH2 and got 8 papyrus. Seems to help a good bit imo

I can tell you that it is true in a way.

I was in CN farming shrooms one day for our fenrir attempt. Disagaea happened to be there farming crawlers. He found a chest for me and since I have the key, I invited him so if it's cash, he'll get a share too. Well, I got the axe but we continue to be in the pt but in 2 different rooms. I never touched the crawlers that he was farming. I left after awhile and about 1 hour later, he told me, I wish you were still here. The silk drop rate was a lot better with TH in the pt (I was on as pld/thf).

There were also times when I farm/gather quest items with Kailyn. Normally we'll go as pld/war and whm/thf since I need the provoke just in case. Often Kailyn would tell me turn my atk off and let him get the last hit, but we tried few times, it really isn't the case. Sometimes when I get the last hit, it actually drops the item we want rather than Kailyn gets last hit. It doesn't hurt to let the thf get last hit though.

personally... I believe THF in party do help a bit... but the loot will never equal with a THF hitting last. I have seen it many times. Normally for monster you will not notice the different, but for NM and HNM over time you will know the large different a THF with TH2 can do... (of course there is also +TH equipment) anyway I have been "sort of" warned by JP party for killing HNM NM without letting the THF make the last shot and really it DOES make a different...

it is possible that TH still effects more if you get last hit, but you seriously cant expect a thf to get last hit on mobs like fafnir. maybe if we had a stable pt we could have 3 thf use sneaktrickhide and do 600 dmg hoping that would kill it, otherwise you suck :P btw that means me being only thf in pt duing 2 venomous claws>allkthxbai (reindoesntcount:P)

One thing I have figured out:

Don't end the battle as a THF hitting a WS if you can help it. I've never gotten my desired drops by using WSs, just normal hits.
