;\ FFXI is taking a toll on my life, school and body.

So, I feel now's a good time to quit. I went out to play soccer today and damn, I couldn't run much at all... Thinking back to before I started FFXI, I could run a lot irl.

Anyway, it's gotten boring. I may have stayed if I had a perm, but oh well; it's fine either way. I already quit once, and Koda told me to come back; but stuff changed recently so I'm quitting. Some CKD members may know what I'm talking about, but I won't say it.

And anyway, the game is no fun anymore; I tried dynamis once, it was choppy/laggy and HNM seem time consuming. So the endgame stuff doesn't look promising.

CoP looks like ... meh, I don't know. But the economy annoys me too. Staves I bought at 470k after a month of mining and staying at lvl 56 (ask galindar and MM, they asked me to pt 10398243728947 times) are like 150k now. So there's goes my hard work and effort.

Anyway, a lot of the community is really cool and I hope to see you on these forums or maybe in another MMO -- but ciao for now~

You guys need to learn how to ballance RL and FFXI. Im doing it just fine.

^ Seeing as I spend very little time actually on my computer. there is no "balance." Right now I'm sick so it's an exception, but last week and the week before I was almost never on my computer. And I kinda like it that way. RL is fun.

Edit: for some people it's not a matter of "Time management" is what I'm trying to say. no hostility intedned

I'm great at balancing things out. My grades suffered from FFXI, but I'm in an enhanced program and I still managed a straight A report card. But, it wasn't good enough for me ;\ So I guess I'm doing just fine as well. But keeping a good body, straight A report card and a character decked out would be tough.

Anyway, in the summer, I tried doing irl stuff, but my friends keep making excuses and everybody ends up laying home being bored. Not sure why, but nothing to do ;\ so.. I played FFXI a lot -- too much.

About my character, I'm probably just going to sell all my equip and keep gil on me -- that way, if I ever come back and everything drops in price again, I'll be mad rich, lmao.

Anyway, I plan on playing some other MMOs later on, depends on how the school year goes. If it gets too hectic, I'll stick with my offline rpgs... Mmm Shadow Hearts II, FFXII -- lots of good games waiting for me.

Well, balbane i quit about a month ago and did all the rl stuff i could. But there were times when there was nothing to do and started trolling forums. Thats when i really started missing FF11. Dont sell your stuff, dont delete your char, just discontinue it that way you have 3 months to come to a decision.

Hope this helps, quit if you feel like it. You will feel good not being enslaved by a game @.@

i have played ff one through eleven, and i would rate them like this:

4,6,5,7,3,9,11,1,10,2,8

but you wouldn't know it by the playtime lol... i logged 79 days on ff11 with whispy. it took me 73 days to get to 75, and i think i was the 4th whm to get to 75, but i might be wrong. i know some people asked why i quit-- some of the reasons include: i need to focus on real life/studying/school/etc. another reason is that i reached my only goal, which was getting to lvl 75. i'll give a few shoutouts, to yarr for making my job easier, to shiloh for receiving about 99% of my cures since december, to mikey for being so tiny yet so fearless even when he knows he will die somehow, to tyriel for keeping me sane, to movien for always making me laugh, to scyth for being so damn cool, and to thunderstomp for being there since level 1~
of course there are many others who are my friends, you know who you are! thanks for playing!
