Thats right, the first NA only LS to kill Kirin is non other than CobraKaiDojo.

I wanted to keep it a surpise but someone let it slip (SS). Anyway, we had a nice little 2 hours fight with FFXI's most challenging HNM. Kirin.

What makes Kirin so hard? Well he summons all four of the Guardian Gods and you need to take them out while still fighting him.

was a nice fight, i died 7 times (All right!) but i did some pretty nice 700+ sidewinders so it was worth it.

I was there, therefore it wasnt NA only at the time of death. :P

it was sazuku i think, anyways i did sidewinder for 1k, eagle eye for 700 then baraage for 950 did about 2.6k dmg. then Died of course but wow i saw his bar move :D

Yarr, I think we need to throw some more sass into thread by saying that some JP LS took 100+ (105 was it?) players to take down Kirin the previous week. Probably some were there to watch, but CKD took Kirin down with what ... 20-30 ppl? How hot is that?!


Btw, congrats to everyone who participated. That sure was a lot of uber fun! Like Rubyxiii so eloquently puts it ... I think I BEAT TEH GAME!

There were 30 people for the Kirin fight from my count and as far as I'm concerned it was cake. Just a little time consuming. (Yarr, yay for being afk 10 years.. I think if people /sea for CKD and found 30 people in Ru'Avitu they'd think Hmm, anyway, heh)

Regardless of the loot, (or lack there of,) It was still a blast and I was really happy to have participated in the event. Afterwards I was a bit exhausted and heard mentions of doing byakko afterwards. lol NO NO NO seemed to be the response from half the mages.

All in all it was a great fight, I took some pretty good screens I'll post at some time, (I don't know if I want to because of the PS2 and its wonderful graphics.)

By the way Yummy. Thief power? lolol All I have to say is:

lol, I only ended up getting killed like 3 times.

2 of the times I ended up pulling hate and getting hit with some gay ass special attack for 1500-1800 dmg.

The last time I got hit by his breath AE, was down to like 200hps, was fumbling though my abilities list to use divine seal +cure3 (I dont sub WHM often, no macro) and he did his breath attack again and owned my slow ass.

We owned the summoned gods. Then again we've had lots of practice with them. What scared me was about 1 hour into the fight after all the 4 summoned gods where killed, he started to summon something.. I was like "wtf is he doing". I turned around and ran like alittle girl and lived though astral flow. lol

yea his 2 hour was harsh when he summoned "titan". But thank god only a few people got hit by him. This could be a problem in later runs, if he 2 hours right in the middle of the room where all the little taru mages are.
