Well, a combination of several real life issues, timing of CoP release, and just regret.... I am going to be quitting FFXI this week.

I know it is really sudden, but it was as much a surprise to me. (i was expecting to quit mid-end august.)

I have 150+ days Playtime, which is a clear indication of how much fun I had playing this game.
And the fact that it is MMO~, it is because of the community that made the game so much fun, for such a long time.

I'll be playing other games in the future, but not MMORPG~ type.
This was my first MMORPG experience and it really caught me by surprise. I had no clue how much time this game would eat out of my life. ><;

I hope I haven't made any enemies, because I don't hold any grudges, and probably forgotten at this point why I disliked you.
But the friends? I have made too many through such a large online community.

I probably will not ever touch another MMORPG for my own good :P . But any other online games I play, I will use the handle "Tooyooo"

Hopefully, I can meet you guys elsewhere.

I never got to know you very well seeing as I just joined the LS not too long ago. It didn't take long for me to figure out how much of a good player you are and awesome person.

I'd sit here and convince you not to get rid of your stuff or to delete character, but the way you spoke about it last night indicates that this is a well-thought out decision you made and plan to carry out. And, I respect that.


We'd hate to see you go but just know you'll always have my support, and many others as well, with whatever you do with yourself in the subsequent days, weeks, months, and years. Gl buddy

Unlike others that leave and come back though, I am not leaving FFXI because I don't like the game, or am frustrated. I am leaving as kind of an intervention/opportunity.

I spent too much time on this game, and I really need to move on~. And I'm using my current situation as a great opportunity to finally leave the game and never look back.

You all are a great group of players though, and it's because of the community I have stayed so long. But I'm currently in the process of selling crap and making a list to divvy~ stuff to. I won't sell my character though, since I've heard arguments on both sides about ebaying characters, and agree with the "no ebay" side.

So, by Friday morning, Tooyooo the tarutaru shall be no more.

Havea great time with FFXI guys, and hopefully even more fun with CoP.
