Giving THF dispel is kinda crazy. Not only dispel, but they can acutally steal buffs from the mob!

First thing I thought of when I saw Beast Affinity was it'd let your pet skillchain, cuz of the Blu abilities. That'd be cool, but I suppose making jug pets stronger is just as cool. Killer Instinct might be cool to give your tank killer effects, however it probably wont be that helpful. At least it gives BSTs a reason to use other jugs besides Carrie.

I'm going to say it now, but I'm willing to say that thief might end up being the top of the rung now or damn near close to it on gods and xp parties. Thief burns just became extremely badass, SaTa with assassin's Charge just became insane (unless it's like a 15 min. timer), ambush is secksi (allows for more of an attk/haste build instead of acc), and aura steal sounds interesting. All in all I'm willing to bet that a fairly well equipped thief who actually knows what the hell they are doing should probably be able to break 1500-2k on gods/kings now.

Wish I hadn't quit so I could check this shit out. :(

Yeah I did some reading, and apparently people have drained anywhere from 4 to 106 tp. If I'd log on I could check for myself, but haven't really felt like it. I call bullshit though. SE wouldn't accidentally let this spell be overpowered like this. Not to mention I haven't seen any screenshots, just people stating what they've drained.

Besides that though, I'm curious as to how good Muted Soul is. Since Souleater is pretty much impossible to get off in a party without being slaughtered. Or if you mix it with a WS when the mob has like 25% hp left.

i like teh ancient magic 2, only 10 sec cast so can MB easy, less MP than AM1, like 1:10 or so Recast time, damage could be higher but can be merited a lot so i hope to merit burst II

Fucking finally THF's are not gimp asses that are just used for our Treasure hunterII that doesnt even work..

Well all the THF and DRK are really happy with the update lol. DRK gets basically what amounts to a meditate that is on a 1 min recast timer w/o haste and can go to 30 seconds with full haste (50%). Absorb TP is 30 to 100 tp but you have to use that Dark Seal ability probably to make it land on HNM without resisting on a somewhat reliable basis. I don't know much about the Last Resort thing reducing 2h weapon delay but I would guess it works like the rest of the merit upgrades in this update. RNG got something similar to that for ranged attack reduction in delay and a ability that ignores the level difference penalty between you and the monster lol. THF got buffed big time. Evisceration now has a crit bonus like Rampage. People were pulling off enormous damage with Evis (2k+ dmg w/ the new dmg boost /ja) and it seems to be the best dagger WS now. All level 62+ daggers got a base damage boost which is great for THF and any job that equips daggers. That and the meritable job abilities are pretty crazy from what I read last night. I can't wait to get back in game because the BRD merits sound worthwhile especially with the single target enmity up and enmity down songs. The potency boost though only effects song lengh (pushes ballad to last 4 min 15 secs lol) and not strength like SV.

i love how they keep giving melee classes tp+ abilities, yet the samurai is still stuck with just meditate when he is supposed to be the master of the tactical points and weapon skillz and skill chains. they need to give us our multi hit WS back

Before this update SAM was by far the best melee DD on CoP wyrms and alot of other end game fights. They can actually accumulate TP w/o beating on adds while the Wyrm is in the air flying (Tiamat stays in the air a long ass time). That is an enormous advantage over other jobs. That and their abilities got better along with other jobs.... they can share TP with party members meaning they have 300 TP now they give 200 tp to share between 5 party members (40 tp a person) and the SAM is left with 100 tp. A SAM with great equip is extremely good in an end game alliance and is actually needed (RNG, DRG, and BST are unwanted and I doubt the patch changed that).

Dude SAM gets to hit the mob with Plague lol (making its MP and TP go down over time).. thats fucking broken. That and attack bonus while facing the monster (SAM/WAR buff) and TP bonus from Zanshin.

mazurka's broken

I saw a bard was all happy they ran faster with the +mazurka horn, guess they better enjoy it while it lasts.

Yeah they announced an update fixing it. Right now mazurka is flee speed with the Harlequin Horn, Gjhallahorn, or Millenium Horn. So anything that gives you +2 to Mazurka makes you run at flee speed with it. Supposedly SE will correct this.

I think that assassin's charge starts out with a 15 minute recast, but can be meritied down by 2.5 minute intervals. Not exactly sure though. What are some buffs that gods/HNMs get that would make aura steal worth meriting? Oh well, they're all pretty nice.

Damn... they did make it a 15 min. ability.... /sigh.... Owell, thief still got some other kick ass stuff. And I never really paid attention to any of the god abilities except for 2hrs (mainly because I had my settings that way so i didn't get chat spam). I imagine if any of the HNM/GODS use an acc/attk/str boost or maybe an -en effect to their hits I'd be really tempted to try to steal it.


And from what I heard RNG just got a hella bump too. /sigh...

Looks to me like the jobs that got the most overall (from what I am hearing) has been drk, thf, and rng..... 2 of the 3 I mained and had @ 75...

Really bitter that I quit now.........
