Is it just me or does it look like in one scene they have the emerald weapon from FFVII sitting on the deck of an airship? Also, did you see who they are fighting on the airship?

And yeah, I wanna fight on an airship! I hate that airship rides are just for going afk on.

Shame it's all cutscenes, I'd love if they could make the battle effects all elaborate like that like they could in the classic FFs.

As for Emerald Weapon, it definately looks similar. Except for whatever those are dangling underneath (bones?), oh and its black and not green too. :P

yeah clearly its not the same thing, but the design off it is cool.

that would be awesome to have an HNM like the sea horror but make it the weapon and on the airship.

I have a really strong feeling the airship fights are going to be BCNM fights though. Maybe full alliance fights.

anyway check that one out its got lots more stuff including a sceen with a few bahamut type wyvrens flying through a valley.

If you look at the very beginning, that party looks to be walking up to some kind crystal. Maybe im just crazy but it looks like theres something in that crystal

could that be a protocrystal?

That video got me super excited for the expansion. I was really ready to quit after all that ark pentasphere non-sense. But, I'm really fucking excited lol

I was thinking that too, I'm not sure. But, even if Bahamut is not a summon, I know he drops a killer helm for drk. It was in the MT database long before he was even announed ever in any game talk. lol

but do you think that the very first scene they show could be the npc party walking up into the protocrystal?

I swear you can see bahamut inside (much like you do when you enter the protocrystal for the normal avatars and you can see them inside the giant crystal

I definitely see something in there, but its hard to make out if its possibly bahamut or what.

It definately has two wings, whatever is in there. And I can also spot that NPC Bard and Samurai, as well as "Prishe" among that NPC "party". Maybe they intended to to fight a Protocrystal Battle but mucked it up somehow and Bahamut is "released".

I also noticed the Samurai has a cool fire-thing going on with his weapon later on, I think they need to start adding weapons with "glowy/firey" effects when drawn in battle, because it just plain looks cool. (Some GM weapons have this effect already, ive seen a GM gauntlet that does it, as well as a shield that does a "blue fire" effect thingy.

But funnily enough, after watching the extended one, the only thing that made me go "hey!" was the fact i noticed the FF Prelude goes out of tune right at the end of the video.

Maybe this could be a "secret" boss like Doom in FF6. You could only fight that thing on airship.

I think ketrebu is on the right track.

Although it also could be that you trade an object to the BCNM and this is the video that plays before the fight. Perhaps they start the fight but cant handle it so you have to do it.

The fight may start there but take the skies as you run off onto an airship.

My god the JP Video owned the NA's. Anyways, in the JP video, wtf was that green glowing dragon in the sky?! That looked awesome. I love fighting Dragon type enemies. I cant wait to see what kind of items these guys are gonna drop.

can you get a capture of the first scene where they are staring at the big crystal?

and in the japanese video near the end i think you can see Nag'Molada standing with the crystal behind him and light shining through and around it. Looks as if bahamut has escaped at this point.
