Just paid 300k for an Ocean Sash! Finally one on the AH, damn things. In the past month it rose from 50k to 300k. I mean, come on, thats more than the Elvaan/Galka MP+ ropes! (they are both like 50k )

Whats with the hyper-inflation recently? Raise III is 300k now too, found out after getting it on a BCNM run thinking it was junk loot, lol. I'm sure that used to be like 50k tops. Shame because a bunch of WHM friends of mine are about to hit 70 and didn't buy in advance.

I don't like farming, not done that in ages. I have 210 Beastman's Seals and 30 Kindred's Seals, gonna have to put em to use now. :P

I guess that's why i still have 1.4mil, 2 mog house/gob quests done, 2 sniper rings, and i haven't even gone beyond lvl 65...

i would have to agree with that one... but catch a couple stropers/emperors/whatever NMs and you will be set! I got the stroper chyme drop 1x and i have been set for 25 lvls of nin and best equip

yea im mighty aggrivated that i finally hit 69 and 1 lv away from getting raise 3... and all the sudden the price shoots to 250k.... im currently compiling a list of ppl who sell R3 for 250k and whenever i get a tell for Raise, if theyre on that list theyre getting Raise 2... well maybe i wont go thru all that effort but i can still dream

lol ket, ezak paid 5k for raise 3 but he bought it when he was like lvl 40 lol just cause he wanted the scroll, but he was very glad he did now, he wishs he bought more back then now heh

300k is worth it if you ever want to be the main tank for a HNM ls. HP is everything for a tank really. I spent 1.2M for 14hp upgrade. Now, that's expensive

lol make a list to not raise 3 people, they just selling the shit at current market value, im sure if some blm scroll every blm needed went from 50k to 250k whm wouldnt stop and say "you know what, im gonna hold off on buying erase with the cash i feel bad for the black mages so ill put it on ah for 200k less than sale price"

totally agree and now has many full-time-job-gil-farmer-team, 24hr-7day non-stop supply gil, @#$@#%^#%(%*@@) they only do earn gil then sell for real $$$, 1 real day can supply 1-2M each ppl, normally they go in 4-6ppl a team, and many place has their ppl, i know a team has ~12ppl so it can supply 12M-20M/day, wtf

even now i want to farm some materials to up skill, they camp all mob, want go mining, they 1-2ppl stand at 1point, even want do BST AF1 open qufim tower chest, they 2-3ppl each floor and keep open chest and dont let you get AF coz for 3k from chest, wtf, and most suck is they all DRG/WAR, item drop rate low but get every mob @#%$#$%, and seems they need quick sell out all item asap, they keep set the price lower and lower, make everything cheap and normal ppl hard to farm $$$, @$%#@

One of my friend, a thief, picked a chest in Delfukk before a gil seller. The guy started to spam him with tells, saying fun and friendly things like USA PIG... Those people are like rainbow-colored bags of joy.

i think it was metalmilitia that grabbed a mimas or some mob in delkfutt and one of those dragoons on that team thats always up there /tell him and demanded that he pay him gil for killing the mob lol. i actually ptd with this team before i knew they were gil sellers on my rdm. theres 4 dragoons and a whm taru. one goon is galka and the rest elvaan or hume i think. binlove yangyang yanjie are some of the names if i remember right. they really ruin the game, just as bad as the fish botters.

It's funny too, it seems on every NA FFXI website right now the major topic this month is "gil farmers". A few months ago the major topic was "fish botters".

I agree it sucks, I hate both, they are killing the economy. But what I almost hate more is the millions of posts across all the FFXI sites where people are bitching about the problem.. these threads just wont die.

Why do I hate these posts? Simple.

Someone posts a thread "OMG FISH BOTS ARE RUINING THE GAME THEY MUST DIE"

90% of the people read that post and agree.. they get angry and start talking about how they hate fish bots also.

10% of the people read that post and go "woah, you can fish bot in this game? I must find out how to do it!"

Now you just added a bunch more fish botting players into the game.

I blame places like the RL Picture DB, Killing Ifrit and other places for flat out advertising those places. IGE somehow slipped an ad into the VN IGN ad flow but it was yanked after it came up once.


The only way to get rid if IGE is to not support them Spork is right, talking about them only gives them free advertising. On the VN I nuke any posts that have to do with IGE. Generally try to keep the Gil farming crying down to a min.

I continue to fail to understand why people do it. What is the purpose in playing a game if u in essence "cheat" to win. Where is ur sense of satisfaction.

I may not be running around with the best equipment on the server - but at least I have worked for what I have. I take pride in being a good Ranger - not pride in having xxx amounts of gil or uber equipment. I try to do my job well - and when I need more $ for equipment I take the time out to go hunt/farm/fish for it.

Why people "buy" their way up the ranks of the game and then think they are better players is beyond me.
