Im not sure if any of you have seen these videos, im sure some of you have. I am just posting these videos so some people can sort of experience and see some of the higher level action in this game. Personally, just from watching these videos, makes me wnt to get to 75 as fast as I can. Tell me what you think of them, if you get the chance.

I am by no means trying to take anything away from CKD, you guys have already fought these guys anyways, but its fun to watch.

lol, I watched the Kirin video. The guy who taped it was a ranger.. That musta been how the fight looked through Fabian's eyes. Only difference is Fabian subbed WAR I think, so instead of blink tanking it when he pulled argo like the guy in the video, he just went *splat* hahaha.

They also blew it on the summons, lol we had like 3 people die to all the summons, they had byakko running around killing people. Guess thats what happens when you dont have the best Ninjas in the game on your side.

I still dig that video. I like the song they use in the background haha. Someone mentioned the site to me so I went to check it out. I haven't watched any of the other videos, but I watched the Kirin just to prepare myself for what we were doing.

yeah i noticed how the tiger was running around and they still had bird up. not really impress there.

Yeah they were on mics. We also use that for our LS, about 15 of us use Ventrilo daily. Its quite fun actually, alot easier than typing, and communication at key moments is alot easier.

oh yeah princess is gonna love that. 15 nerds shouting battle orders beside the TV.

I always thought mics were retarded in MMORPGs. I may want to type to you, but I really don't feel like talking to you. lol

I use to have voicechat setup for tribes2 and some other games that I played with RL friends only. The idea of having a full LS of people chatting or trying to talk over one another is just..... chaos

Its not that hard to figure out who is who, and its not like we are saying "OMG DISTORTION NICE!!! GOGO MAGIC BURST! OMG SOMEONE CURE ME NOW." Its more of just a social thing, where we talk about random shit irl, and in game.

Also not everyone uses it, and not everyone talks at once, so its not as bad as you would think.

I am not really good at playing commerical product but I did some research and coding for real-time VOIP when I was in college

do they still eat up a lot of CPU/bandwidth? also how's the latency on that...

I remember back in the days when people get a seperate workstation just to host the voice conference

The voice chat program doesnt lag FFXI at all.

Noodlebrain runs a Teamspeak for our LS and his computer runs it while he plays so either he has a super computer or it isn't that bad. prolly a little bit of both.

If you tweak the packet sizes you can run a 8-10 person ventrillo server on a second box w/o lagging your connection. :D
