If so and you're in Ifrit, have you seen Kioto around at all? I'd still like to get my character back. |

its almost 2009. I don't even know why you brother trying to attempt to get arlania to give your account back. When clearly he is not. THe game is dead. Great way to waste maybe a month or 2 time. Not worth it. |

I play. Honestly, if you really are interested in playing again, theres alot of fun new stuff to check out and explore. I disagree with Mikey, I think theres enough new content that even an older player could come back and have some fun playing again. They are focusing more on adding things that can be done solo now as well, not all large group events. |

Well it's not even with arlania anymore, last time i spoke with Kory he told me arlania sold it. Earlier this year i was able to speak with the current owner and he wanted to sell me the account but i didn't want to waste money on it, but now i'm willing to put a few bucks into the deal. It's not even the fact i want to play as much as i would just like to get it back, call it stupid or unnecessary but i guess it still holds bit of sentimental value. Edit: Just saw Viviti's post and i've been playing for a few weeks on Xantem and there's still plenty of stuff to do. Everytime i do a /sea all i get no less then 4000 people which is enough to play with. FFXI isn't as packed as it used to be, but it's still active as far as i've seen. |

I should should edit viviti's post and say exactly what he should say. He plays ultra casually lol. I played for a couple of months again. And the content isn't enough. You still end up doing the same shit over and over again. I know what im talking about lol. viviti you play like 1 day out of the month. Clearly it tells you plenty right there. |

Haha, well: I have a full time night job, and can't take in my laptop so I don't have much time to play at this moment, but I still get on about 3 days outta the week when I can, sometimes its all I do on my day off, so I'll play for like 10+ hours. I do play very casually but I still enjoy it is what I'm getting at, haha. You can't play FFXI and be serious, just treat it like any other game. Some days I play Gears of War 2. Some days Left 4 Dead. Some days FFXI. Only difference is loling at retards in text and loling at retards on xbox live on a headset. |

i almost considered logging in yesterday but then i thought.. wtf am I thinking? and shut the idea out of my mind. Still, I bet I could start a new character and pimp it out by liquidating my old one.. the thought of giving up a 75 smn, blm, whm and doing it all over again, or re-learning the game from a melee standpoint kinda breaks my heart though |

Are all MMO's like this? FFxi was my first and last MMO. I reminisce about it quite often and I haven't played in almost 3 years. I also check out old posts from the couple of forums I still go to. Old drama and what not. And I still get a laugh. ![]() |

FFXII and Oblivion have some MMO elements w/o the annoyance of other players. |

Not all MMO's are like this. I think the community behind FFXI is so tightly knit that its what causes people who quit to miss the game so much, or think about it. You rely on people much more than you would in other MMO's in general, making friends and such who need to stay friends for long periods of time in order to progress, whereas with other MMO's I've played like PSO/PSU, Guild Wars, EQ, and even as old as Asheron's Call, the community isn't quite all there and although I'd have a few friends who would feel more like general acquaintances, it's nothing compared to the bonds you get with people through FFXI and (yeah, I'll say) WoW. Just my view on it. |
