Hey all, I was wondering if anyone wanted to get together and do Genbu. I personally would like to get a Genbu's Shield, but it drops a lot of other good stuff, including Abjuration pieces if anyone else is interested. I don't have the Gem of the North and Winterstone yet though ;\. Thanks =). |

Yeah I have a two gems. I forget what ones. We tried camping for the water with no luck. Although we only camped like 3 hours and had no Thieves. This is definitly something we will be doing. At the moment we are concentraiting on getting a solid number of 75s. Kaylan with a shield? Thats crazy!

actually that's the only shield a BRD can wear... so it is pretty cool... anyone know the order of difficulty for the 4 pets? I only had experience with seiryuu and I want to see how hard are the rest ... |

Suzaku and Byaako are the reasons that full time lvl 75 smn with fenrir is needed. SMN won't be fighting, their main jobs will be alter blink on tanks and keep stats buffs up. We would had a chance of winning against Byakko if the smn didn't let the buffs and blink drop. First try took it to 30% isn't too bad. Byakko isn't any harder than Suzaku or Seiryu if his tripple atk isn't so damn fast. Tripple atk can chew up a tank in no time let it be pld or nin. |

i never killed byakko before but when kayne does it i think we will win, he always knows the ways of winning and for genbu we can take it if we have more blm,rdm, and brds. there is like less then 5 in ckd lol |

For Genbu you need 1-2 paladins(or ninja's), 1-3 rdm, 3+blm/rdm, 2-3 whm, and lots of people to pull their pud. Without a ninja, melee's are basically "optional" on genbu, providing little in the way of damage. Rangers, Summoners, and any other ranged damage dealers are a big++ Most important thing on Genbu is gravity. Lacking any ninja's it's a must. |

From above list, we are lacking blm and rdm. Since we have no 75 nin, gravity is a must for pld to tank. PLD can't go toe to toe with Genbu, so without gravity or resist gravity will turn everything ugly. Melee dmg = 0 on Genbu other than spirits within, shield bash, and the monk thingy that I forgot the name atm :p I don't know about RNG's dmg since I never play one. Reinheld and Skye wanna level rdm to 75? RDM/DRK is so powerful when it comes to HNM fights. PS: I just reset my tonberry hate last night so if anyone still needs zm4, this weekend is a good time. |

Like I said, I'd be more than willing to help you guys out with anything, but I'm only a 60 RDM, and just having recently achieved Rank 6, I'm not deep enough into the ZMs to have access to Tu'lia. |

I have lvl 31 rm, but by the time i get to 70 as 2nd job, i think we would have found 3-4 other rms already and defeated genbu 10-15 times. We did the item camping with wess yesterday but didn't get it. However, it did move me 1k closer to 75. 
Edit: I'm guessing i'll have to sub rm if i do get a chance to go to genbu. |

From the list, looks like we will need in order NIN <- anyone willing to pay the $ SMN <- this maybe the most needed job for big fight RDM <- this will fill up pretty fast additionally RNG <- same as BLM but instead use mini nuke (did I mention cannon shell?) BTW here is my parties layout on the last fight with Seiryuu P1 (PLD tanks) PLDx3 BRD/WHM <- me WHM/SMN RDM/BLM P2 (mages) BLMx2 WHM SMN BRD NIN P3 (support) WHM BLM RDM SAM MNK |
