Yes, it's time to say good bye to the whole FFXI community and all the good and bad times I've shared with it. Recently I cancelled my subscription to FFXI. Reasons? Not that it matters but I quit because it was controlling my life more than I ever thought it would be. Sitting for hours staring at my computer isn't healthy and it was keeping me from getting a job. I decided going cold turkey was best ( believe me.. it's a lot harder to quit than you can possibly imagine ). I doubt I will return but if I do it will be on a different character, a different name and an entirely different server. As for the materials and items that are on Dor they are up for grabs. Only people I know and supported me are entitled to these items, however, it will be a while before I reactivate my account long enough to xfer the junk ( like i'll need it anyway. IF I do come back I will be on a different server making it impossible to get my stuff anyway. ) My girlfriend and I broke up so she won't get any of the items. The following items are up for grabs. Remember, it will take a while for me to reactivate my account and only people that have helped me can call dibs for the items. I'd rather Dor die instead of seeing some other noob like myself take it over, which is why I dare not sell it.

All I ask is that you make her life miserable because of what she did to me. Any questions? Read the post at the bottom of the page. It will explain everything, including why I quit.

I have no idea why I decided to even post this on a forum that most of the members hate me anyway. Perhaps out of pity but I care not. It's a lot more relaxing without the game. I have been getting out more and soon I hope to get a job and a Quote/unquote "Life".

Well i was on AIM while reading mesage. Then i typed that thinking it was to my friend who is lik uber rich and has jobs lvld. So i offered to take items off his hands. then pressed enter then i noticed it came up on here so i edited it.

I'm sick of applying myself for items that are fake. I kept asking myself "Why am I not applying myself in the real world instead of trying to be better than the next guy?" I'm sorry, this game is a money pit and I find it sad that people actually buy Gil on this game.. it makes me laugh.. I thought I was so bad to get upset because I saw a PLD with better equipment and the same level as I am. When you get like that then you know you've got to take a deep breath and step away. Literally slap yourself in the face for spending more time on a game than you do with your girlfriends, friends and family. I didn't even want to see my own mother because I was too busy trying to make something on a Game that a company could Give a DANG whether I live or die on. Yeah, That's really worth staying for.

I ask myself even as I write this thread.. why people fight so hard over stuff that isn't real? Sit here and complain over gil sellers and how they ruin a game.. If you're going to play the game I suggest playing it without taking it so dramatically. It's pathetic when you see "Kill all Gilselllers!!1111!11111 and kill all Gilbuyers!1111!111111!!!!" on every forum.. WHO GIVES A DANG? Lol... They're people who's so stuck in this game that they're willing to sit and get fat over it. They're punishing themselves and complaining about it is just childish. It's this type of thing that made me give it all up. Next MMO I decide to play i'm going to play to have fun and if people want to take the game so seriously that they'll sit and make fun of you all day on it then that's THEIR problem.

i went cold turkey as well. I played a pld for like 3/4 a year, and one day i just quit. I feel your pain, and i want to tell you that quitting ffxi is the best thing you can do if it is taking away from your real life. It's hard to stay cold turkey, but just keep everything in perspective. Don't forget your priorities in life.

Sorry to see you go, Although i think its nice to see people give stuff away to those who really need them. I cant tell you how much it bothers me to see people sell all there stuff to IGE.

Although I know whisp could use two astral rings. Since he came back he hasnt had any gear that isnt Rare\ex haha.

Sad to see you leave the game on such negative terms. I know all about getting burned out on the game, I quit six months ago because I couldn't take the "grind" anymore. But now I have come back and am enjoying the game again, at a more relaxed pace. However, it is good to get back to the real world to refresh your priorities again, so good luck to ya!
