I'm having some strange problem today. I played all day and got my Monastic Cavern Coffer Key for my last AF piece. After killing some more orcs i zoned from Davoi to Mon. Cav. and began to lose connectivity while zoning. When i reappeared my R-value was at 0 for a while. Eventually it came back and everything seemed back to normal.

But...

I tried to do a search for a new tank but couldnt. I typed /sea all pld 55-65...the game didnt even go into search mode. I tried different /sea but none would work. i tried to search manually in the menus and that wouldnt work either. I logged out and back in and the problem was still happening. I also discovered I can't see who's in my LS or PTs now either.

Upon returning to jeuno I discovered I can't access AH either. There is no message saying why, just an annoying 'refusal' buzz and thats it.

The same problem occurs on all 3 of my mules too. Anyone else experiencing this or has experienced this please let me know. I'd like to get it rersolved. This problem is quite serious...

sounds like file corruption on the playonline veiwer main log in page (Before u connect) there is a option to scan all FFXI files, do that and it should correct it for you if not call square

i'm on ps2 so theres no way (that I know of ) to scan the files....

not lookin' forward to callin SE cause I deal with the JP one and my Japanese isn't quite fluent.

why does this crap have to happen to me?

A similar thing happened to me yesterday too, /sea wasn't working and ppl weren't showing in the pt lineup (but i could hear them on pt chat). I was getting a lot of R0 to, but i'm pretty sure it was my connection failing me, since everything was ok for my party members.

After rebooting the game, everything was working fine though.

So basicaly, you probably had a problem with your connection, not POL.

PS2 does have file scan but only to see if the files are ok (this is not anti-virus part) but it does check for corruption files

the PS2 will still correct the problem if possible... although the PC version can do better PS2 can correct small errors

when i was going for my THF af hat in monastoic caverns <sp?> i finally found the coffer and popped it and got my AF... then i ran towards the exit and R:0 then finally DC'd... when i came back i had a coffer key and no AF ><

R:0 was common at lastnights LS event. I the Ps2 has issues put the CoP disk in or turn your ps2 off during gameplay and it will do a system diagnostic.
