Ok so i got my wyvern skull last night, and was all pumped to go grab my crown... talk to lullup and i don't get any cutscene, so i'm freaking out trying to figure why the hell i can't get my crown, i wonder if it's because i have the wrath of the opos quest up, or possibly because i had washed off my scent for the mithran stone.. i did some research but was only able to find 2 posts from folks that said that they couldn't activate it either.

the notion is that the lullup won't activate the quest unless you have the scent of blue raffelsia on you

one person said you had to kill the leeches in korokkala tunnel and that 1 leech = 1 flower, however i was in a pt that killed all 3 of those bitches before i went and chilled in the water.. and now i'm finding nothing in the flowers and i haven't received the sent, i must've spent like 1k in chocos from khazam checking those flowers each oncce every hour and still have yet to receive more nectar or the scent

i figured maybe i had to wait longer, because i just completed personal hygeine quest on monday, but i read a post from someone else who had this problem who said they still couldn't receive nectar months after completeling hygeine quest.

has anyone else done this, or knows anyone that this happened to? can i make the nectar respawn by sattisfying some condition? please help me out.

I don't remember quite well but I think I read about a npc giving you back the scent (or the quest) in kazam. I'm not sure who tho

yeh i spoke to a friend on aim this morning who says he vaguely remembers hearing about an npc or some checkable item in kazham or one of the jungles who can give you your scent back or allow you to go check flowers again, but it was super vague lol he said he had heard of this happening to people but never bothered to ask how they fixed it >< thanks for the reply anyway... guess i'll just have to keep searching hi and low ><

Remeber you need to have high windy Fame for it.

you talk to that Elvaan guy in RDM AF... for get his name Mcgriffin or something. do the Flower Quest. then he asks for gil. give him the amount he asks for. I ran into some Trouble here b/c after that the mithra wasn't giveing the Dam quest so i just Went to windy handed ina bunch of Corrnets and Came back and it gave me the quest finaly.


I dunno if this helps but gives you an idea what i did.

Talisin is right you need high fame but you need the scent too. Some guy on Allakazham said :

"btw. once you first get the scent of the flower after finishing the even more gullible's travels and plan to get the OPO-OPO Crown, I RECOMMEND DO NOT TAKE OFF THE SCENT BEFORE YOU START THE QUEST FOR THE OPO OPO CROWN. you will be forced to kill those jammer leeches to respawn the nectar jars to get the scent back."

So you might need to kill them again to reactivate Magriffon(or whatever his name)'s quest or something.

Damn if it had happened to me after I got the skull I would have killed myself. I remember tripple checking every opo-opo name before trading any item.

i have god fame in all countries, i removed the scent for the mithran stone quest, however, we killed the three leeches that were there before i stood in the hot spring, so if that guy's theory is correct, the nectar should've respawned.. it hasn't, and i killed them a few days ago, so if it was some stupid 1 rl day turnover type thing... that should've kicked in by now.

magriffon keeps saying the same thing, something along the lines of, "hey wow 'the jars of raffelsia nectar" sell great to shoppes, what a lucky find for you"

i remember when i activated the quest he said that the treaure map was dropped from a women who was being chased by pirates and who later fled to jeuno.. maybe i need to find her ><

this is so frustrating, i've been collecting items for like 2 months, and now to be this close and not be able to get it is really pissing me off. i want my mog safe back!!! 10 slots ><

p.s. thanks everyone for the replies and trying to get to the bottom of this, i can't believe no one has heard of this, or had this happen, surely i can't be the only one.. someone must have the key to unlock the secret of one eye willy

I also Got the ifrit Quest before i Even got enough fame for opo opo lol
