Equipment Storage

FINAL FANTASY XI Development Team (3/24/2005)

In the previous version update, a new service was added allowing players to safely store full sets of artifact armor for a small fee. Due to the positive feedback regarding this new feature, the development team has decided to expand the equipment storage service to include over thirty new sets of various low-level armor and clothing. After trading a full set (consisting of 4 to 5 pieces) to one of four NPCs located in each of the major nations, players will receive a claim slip that can be presented when they wish to have their armor returned.

Whether for level-restricted orb battles, Promathia missions, or for raising support jobs, low-level equipment can eat up a lot of room in a player's Mog Safe. Utilizing this feature will make it easier to store and retrieve space-consuming armor sets, while leaving Mog Safes open to hold more important items. The days of throwing away sleepshrooms to open slots for your silver gauntlets are over!

Further details on the expanded service will be made available in the version update announcement released in late April.

I'm so excited about this I might just crap my pants.

It's not so great as it first sounds when you think about it. Except for your Artifact Armor, there are very few sets of gear that you would actually use the ENTIRE set.

Now, for CoP and Promyvion stuff, where everyone wears a full set of Eisen/Seers/etc gear, this is great. But when does anyone here actually use a full set of Lizard armor? Chances are you'll always have it mix/matched with the gear that's best for you, heh.

What i'm saying is, just how many FULL SET's of gear do people actually own? Except for your RSE, I'd say not many.

On the positive side, it's nice to see SE trying to fix the storage issue at least. Thanks to all the new level capped missions/BCs and people strating to level their second and third jobs, equipment storage was becoming a real issue.

The question is :
Does lizard armor fall in the category of those 30 sets?

This is just a Square Enix ploy to remove money from the economy by making people pay that 1000 gil storage fee everytime they want their stuff back.

like paying 1000 gil is going to counter act the jack asses who buy gil every week.. OMG I CANT FARM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. if you dont have time to farm and such then you definately shouldnt be playing a mmorpg.

positive feedback? its a bunch of BS that we can't just store 1 piece of armor. mixing and matching equipment is the only way to go. having to store a full set really turns me off to this.

would be nice for crafters also...people will be more likely to buy full sets of lower level gear and just keep them instead of buying and selling in the same day...but yeah, making it require the full set kinda sucks...
