I have a question does anyone know or have any idea if elemental staffs effect the crstyls you use EX: earth staff, Earth Crstyl. I have seen some crafters wear staves and such like that when they craft (Japanese) I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this thank you.^.^

if so all the more reason to make "Staves" more expencive ^_^
(Edit: changed spelling of staves cause grammar is the new fad)

"Staves" is the plural of "Staff" irl

But on the topic, Im not totally certain if they do affect synthesis, but I havent seen any good evidence that they do.

Haven't read anything about it.. but I have got into the habbit of using Lightning Staff for making rainbow threads (at 5lvl gap) I fail on avg. 2x in 12 syn, skill up varies greatly with moon phrase, and usually only lose 1 web. Not sure if fail rate was lowered, but i'm desparate and would do anything for skill up/no lose mat :p

What's about Al'taiu belt who make your attack to be like the one of a specefic day.

I think if the element staves had an effect on crafting then alchemy would have something besides Caduceus for the starter skill+1 item. Otherwise alchemists would be ripped off because they could only have elemental boost or skill+1 while everyone else could do both.
