Has SE ever mentioned anything AGAINST UI enhancements for FFXI ah-la WoW? Does it break their ToS?

Having a few things on screen like recast timers and the like might help immensly. I know windower does this but is it legal to mess with the UI?

Windower is against the ToS. There is no way they can find out that you use one though.

I'm talking more of just enhancements to the UI. If you've played WoW you know what I mean (Cosmos, Gypsy, CT,ect)

The same way the other mmorpg could not tell you were using a windower, ffxi can not tell either, the timers and such, and the changing of the graphical user interface isn't allowed by the TOS, but then again what they can't know, won't hurt them, I personally love the timers and such...some of the jp players have a plugin for their windower that shows current shadows left, recast on certain spells and time left on jas for current job....

Incidently I would love to get those plugins and their windower if anybody has any idea where to get it.... our windower hasn't started using the plugin in for this yet even though they are working on them right now..

Using third party programs with FFXI is a violation of TOS.

Chances are after using any 3rd party program for awhile, you'll log in to find all your stuff gone. Viva la Keyloggers embedded into fishbots and windowers. :P

But anyway i'm on PS2 which is what i like. Cause i know if i was on PC i would DL every program and probably get my account hacked by like 15 people.
