We did this tonight with the few people on the server we could find, and I must say it's really good heh.

It seems like such a hassle to get it going though. Although you can freely pick teams or "randomly" distribute them, it still places a few resitrictions on the number of people that can overflow on each team etc.

But doing "private" ballista is nice, fighting just against people you know is great. :P

I heard someone say there is a 1v1 duel area inside the zone. You click on the hut door or something and you can fight 1v1 against someone in that little BCNM like area behind it. That's what was said, i never looked for myself.

I can't wait for first LS vs LS battle. :P

What's the entry fee btw? And do you think it would be a good idea to try that wednesday instead of dynamis or something with cheeseburger

Someone needs to buy a "Whitebook" to reserve the zone, and that costs 200 Ballista Points (only obtainable in the public matches, not sure how easy these are to accumilate).

It works exactly like a Dynamis Hourglass, you use it, and it duplicates so you can pass them around. Once you trade your "paper" to the NPC, they will charge you 750 gil to teleport to the Diorama zone.

Once you're there, the guy who bought the book can talk to the herald to start/stop matches and set up rules. You get 2 hours in the zone before you're all booted out, you can run as many matches as you can fit in.

Count me out O_o That's the income of my last 2 week.

I think I got 10 point in one match, I hope you get more if you dont suck because I wont buy a book.

Is the area good looking at least?

Oh yeah, and it's been a while since I did ballista, I didn't feel as useless as I used to lol.

I mean, yeah, I'm no ranger, but I bet I'm damn annoying chasing people around hitting them with a Joyeuse. If they decide to turn on me, they're effectively wasting time because of how little damage I take while other people can attack them freely.

Spirits Within is very nice for finishing off people with Utsusemi, goes straight through. :P

It was about 690 when I logged whisp, lol.

Only the "host" of the zone has to pay the 200 Ballista Points, everyone else gets in for 750 gil. Talisin had like 1000 points on him, lol.

EDIT: oh, and the zone looks like Ghelsba, but it's made of wood.

What the NPC tells you, is that she's learned how to cast the spell "Mini" and has a miniature wooden replica of Ghelsba Outpost (a Diorama) with them. The NPC is basically shrinking you down and you're playing Ballista on a tiny wooden model. :P

I need to work more on this homework instead of finding a way to kill ket in the next ballista. Bleh! I wish i could have played FF tonight


I just noticed every time I spend a whole day trying to work on homework or school stuff, my post count increase by 200. I wonder why

No, the congestion is probably true. It's just that server is overflooded and not stable right now, so it kick people randomly. That's why nobody are able to finish it since they all get kicked

Yea I really wanna do this too. I have still never participated in ballista at all because it never seemed interesting to me. I think I could have a lot of fun with it this way. I wan to chase down people i know and Jump on them!

Dunno, I always find funny in Beaucedine when "1" person / 64 person gain 100xp which is not even a death with R3 when dynamis is one of the biggest xp sink in the game.

At least, you lose nothing in Ballista, but it would be nice to see your time rewarded. Giving 5k worth xp for 2 hours wouldnt hurt the game. It's not like people will do that 24 hour a day

yeah i played a ton of matched tonight. pretty cool how cutomized you can set stuff. setting up a LS vs LS thing would be Cool but slow to set up. there is no XP gain on these ones only the public ones (for a limited time) give xp. over all it's really nice. you don;t really relize how much u need ur subjob till it's Taken lol.

Reminder: This is just a Game. when u do these pvp things you don;t sit there and pick on a person from an opposeing LS it's just annoying and Sad... SEROUSLY LET IT GO. OMG I MUST BE THE BEST... man ><;;
