How much EXP do you expect a session?

Post subject:  How much EXP do you expect a session?
Just curious to know how much EXP you think a PT should earn before it disbands? I was thinkin along the lines of at least 10k per session but aim for 15k. Each merit is 10k so I think everyone in the PT can benefit from 10k (granted everyone is level 75 and is working on merits). I have been in parties previously where we end up disbanding after getting 6k and 8k and thats just not cutting it lol.

So what do you guys think an EXP session should go for?

One of the reasons I quit was because I couldn't get an exp party for longer then 1000 exp.

It depends on the pt. I usually like to stick around for at least 10k, if I can't stay that long I let the leader know at the time of invite. Some pts are so freaking boring because all they do is grind and there is no dialog, I don't last long in those type of pts even if the xp is awesome.

I pray for 10k a session, but I've made a list of dickheads who don't stay long.. Not to bash rdms.. but you guys.. for the love of god.. You either don't come at all (babiedoll) unless the party is a PERFECT setup. or if you do come.. you stay for like 45min cause you think you're hawt shit and can do anything :P. Lately I've had a string of bad rdms.. Thorfin.. Babiedoll never wanting to party even though her seek was up for like.. 2 hours, Bigbigben (NEVER PARTY WITH HIM) anyways. 10k is a good place to draw the line. sometimes if everyone is busy, 8k is acceptable, lowest denomenator for me is 6k, anything below I get mad cause I usually end up wasting food. a good party for me is 15kand up.. and amazing party for me is 20-25+...


back to my rdm rant.. you're not gods!. Party setup was Drk, drg, pld, rdm, rdm whm.. why is that unacceptable??? Sc was Cross reaper >> wheeling (fusion) double fire 3 mb, each for about 500-600, then if pld had tp, Swift blade (gravitation) double stone 3.. it was stronger than light on avg.. yet 3 rdms turned me down when 1 of our rdms left.. wtf? If a party works.. it works. doesn't matter how

uh most of my pts get 10k-20k a session. i dont really care as long as i get a invite quickly after the pt disbands ^_^

I only stay when PT wipe every 45 sec cause it keep my attention :P

No matter what PT I'm in, I get bored of xp after 30minutes unless we are having an interesting discussion or something. But what I consider good in pickup PT is 4k/hour, the average seem 2.5k per hour.

How long as stay is usually how long I take to find a replacement after the first 30minutes when I'm bored

I can probably answer a couple of these questions, but they're all based on my personal opinion... so don't take it too harshly.

Uh, we can. ;p Just kidding. Anyway, most RDM think they're hot shit, and I'll agree. However you can't single us out. ;p BRDs and RNG are equally, if not more cocky than a RDM could ever be.

I've never liked two RDM parties, ever. It gets to be a constant mess of wasted MP and confusion. Even if you assign people to do such and such debuff, people are just going to overlap them anyway. Despite the business, in an XP party the job is just as routine as any other. It's like having two tanks in a party, not necessary. The -only- small exception I can think of is if you have a rdm/brd for small party buffs, but there's still the problem of overlapping refresh and debuffs. It's just a big pain in the ass and boring as hell, especially after 65. Sure, you can MB for an extra 500-700 damage, but think of the DoT another damage dealer could do, or the support of a bard.

This is so true. One time I attempted to make a 1 tank, 3 RNG, BRD, RDM PT. Tank... check, 3 RNGs... check, RDM... check. Now all we need is a BRD. After holding out for about an hour for a BRD, we decide to just grab a WHM. 1 of the RNG decides no to come because we didn't have a BRD. I was hot. Some RNGS are cocky as shit. You know who you are. The RNG that didnt join because we didnt have a BRD actually posts here :shock: but hasnt been around in a while. Watch him find this post and flame me :roll: haha, I wont reveal any names tho.

P.S. there was an over flow of RNGs that morning. I cycled through 5 RNGs that morning. My PT would have 3, then 1 would have somethin come up and I had to replace them. To my surprise I had to replace 2 RNGs over time. Finally ended up with PLD, RNG, RNG, BLM, RDM, WHM and 12k EXP in my pocket.

Depends on the party. If it's a regular setup then I'd expect around 10k or so...

If it's a 3 mnk pt with brd I'd expect at least 30-50k..

I expect atleast 10k. I'm happy if I get 20k+. If party gets like 5k- and disbands I'll kirr people...even though I seem to have that luck. I think the most I've gotten in one party is 25k.

I like to shoot for 10k as well. I just get really bored after that much though...Maybe that's why I've been playing for almost 18 months now and I'm still 74
