Dammit, a few of my friends and I can't even log on too. SE blows now. I believe the only people that are on right now are the people that never logged off... |

There's a ton of servers for FFXI though. Along with a server for each actual in-game server, they have a server specifically for updates, probably multiple international POL servers, the lobby server, probably a server for the characters, most likely a server for POL handles, probably among many others... so just because the game servers are up doesn't necessarily mean you should be able to get on. Also, FFXI probably pays literally well over hundreds of thuosands of dollars to keep their servers running, probability of just the traffic causing them to not allow people to connect is pretty unlikely. |

I havent watched the news in a long time but I hear right now there's a lot of pro-chinese internet terrorism going on over there for some reason or other and hackers are just bringing that side of the internet to a stand still. |

that would be funny if this really happen and all of the server went down as ppl are doing the god, HNM, and raids. that would piss off alot of them. |

More specifically, this page: http://www.internettrafficreport.com/asia.htm Notice that the router in Japan is working fine (nice and Green) and a bunch of the other routers in Asia are in the Red and/or 0. So, since the servers themselves are in Japan, everyone there can play perfectly fine, anyone outside of Japan is pretty much screwed. |

so what ketrebu is tryin to say is this "Unless we live in JPN, we shouldn't expect to play whenever we feel free"? I find this completely biased, i have actually sent an email to SE (like they give a shit). I mean come on! You release a game in JPN, then release it to NA that have to play on JPN servers, but NA can't connect to the game because the servers are in JPN? PS: legit Post Count plus one |

You can't complain to SE about it though, lol. It's totally out of their control, it's not even their fault at all. That's like blaming SE for doing a crappy job because your ISP is down so you can't use the internet. It's nothing to do with them. |
