Hi, had a couple of people asking me info for the maat fight. Decided it was a good idea to write sumtin up which is easier than saying the same stuff i told another RDM. This is what i did and had on my fight.

Equipment:

Main: Mythic wand
sub: Darksteel Buckler
Head: AF
Body: AF
Hands: AF
Legs: AF
Feet: AF
Neck: Enfeebling torque
Earings: Enhancing earrings, Moldavite Earrings
Rings: 2x Zircons
Back: Red cape
Waist:Jungle Rope

Items/medicine/food:

Melon Pie+1
6x Hi-Potions
12xMulsum
Vile Elixir
Vile Elixir +1
2x Vampire Drinks

The goal i told myself was i only needed to land atleast 6-8 aero3 or other tier 3s. I went in on airday. I am also a Mithra if that means anything.

What i did:

Before Going in the BC, i ate my Melon pie +1 and rest til full. Than traded testimony. I ran in and made sure i didnt get too close to maat. I was very unlucky here cause he had max buffs on himself (first time doin this and was a little laggy cuz of fraps filming >.>). While a bit outside the arena drink up Vampire Drink then cast Stoneskin+ Blink(i didnt cast Protect or shell or phalanx cuz it takes too much MP from me to do those and needed to kill him b4 he does asuran fist cause i heard it was timed @ about 7mins). Since my strat requires sleeping i could not use diaga to rip blink of maat.i used cheap debuffs to get rid of the blink, then slept him with Sleep2 + sleep1 incase resisted. Once he snoozed i dispeled him till everything was off. While he is still sleeping i juged as many mulsum as possible to refill MP(I think i was able to drink 4 mulsum b4 he woke up). I casted sleeps again and bind and went nuking with aero3 bind,sleep1+2 and stoneskin+blink when needed cause that was my sheild. i think i landed about 3-4 aeros i think b4 he did chainspell
I landed sleep on him when he nailed me with a couple of his nukes. Then i stoneskined and blinked if needed and redrank vampdrinks Converted and cure iV and i might have Hpotioned as well not sure tho. When chainspell duration ends , i unleashed chainspell next and nuked with aero3 and stone3 and stoneskin or and blink if needed. then sleep1or2 or bind if needed and drank the vile+1 wen my MP was about drained so i can continue my nuking. I think b4 my chaincast ended i was at a red life again and had to jug my last vile and killed him with aero 3 , i was lucky that he hit me and i didnt get interrupted.

Note:
This was by memory of what i have done, i may have 4got some stuff since i did this a while ago and didnt save the logs or anything. I am not sure if i casted aquaveil but that might help if u are having problems casting when getting hit. i also think the lvl 70 earrings might have helped out a bit , i didnt get to try cause when i finaly decided to go fight him the earrings went sold out, got me pissed the whole day =/. Please forgive me for any errors on what i wrote cause i was writing this up while in CN avoiding trains and then XPing >.>

Wow, thanks Gilzz. The staple of your defeats seems to be sleep more than Aero3. =) Anyway, i think in order for me to land as many sleep i need an enfeebling torque. I hope I get lucky. I'm 0/8 so far.

i keep seeing viviti in cn when im on my smn, i just hit 43 hurry up and pt with me for refresh :P

All right! lol I'm trying this again first thing tomorrow morning. That bitch is gonna be mine =/ I think I'm gonna buy 98723459872342 gil worth of items like I've heard other RDM have Of course, that being said, I'm sure I could've beat the asshole in the 3 weeks I haven't tried. Just gotta get some luck >.< Unfortunately I've always had the worst of it, heh. (See you again!)
