Quest Name: Indomitable Spirit Client: Irmilant (Near the oasis, Rabao) Summary: Irmilant has asked you to bring the two base materials required to craft a legendary fishing rod. These materials seem to have found their way into the bellies of sea creatures that still elude the finest fishermen. Prerequisite: Unknown; a Lu Shang's Rod may be required to pull up the fish that are required for this quest. Two new Fishing Guild Point key items are required at some point in the quest: Serpent Rumors which requires 95000 Guild Points, and Mooching which requires 115000 Guild Points. This is obviously intended to be a lengthy quest, which provides an unbreakable fishing rod. 1. Talk to Irmilant to start the quest. At least the Serpent Rumors key item is likely required before the quest can be started. 2. Obtain two new Rare/Ex bait items, both by turning in fish to Zaldon as part of the Inside The Belly quest: Trade a Sea Zombie and receive the bait Drill Calamary; trade a Cave Cherax to receive the bait Dwarf Pugil. 3. Fish up certain unknown legendary fish, to obtain the items required for the quest. These are thought to be Opal Silk and Saber Shoot. 4. Trade the required items to Irmilant. 5. Return the next day to end the quest, and receive your rod reward. Reward: Ebisu Fishing Rod Title: Indomitable Fisher |

That's nice but it's old news, the rod has been there since the February patch. The unknown fish are the legendaries Lik and Gugrusaurus. In order to able to hook them you need guild key items that require you to be level 78. Like with any other fish turned in to Zaldon, the odds to get the rare item are ~1/100 I can't say if it's better than Lu Shang's since I never got a chance to try it. |
