Well it took me 18 months, $252, two Thunderstomps (yes that's plural), and many late nights but I finally did it. Ding 75 today in King Ronperre's Tomb with a kick-ass monk party.

I've been playing on and off since NA release in october '03. Whisp (john irl) and I started because we were bored of Diablo 2 and wanted another multiplayer rpg to eat up our time. Initially I was an elvaan whm and Whisp was an elvaan thf, but we quickly realized that elvaan just was wasnt for us. So we decided that we would pick a duo that complimented each other. Whisp was tired of yelling at me to cure everyone, so he became the whm, and I choose drg because of the cool wyvern. We had lots of fun and everything was new and challenging, and eventually we we found ourselves in the Crawler's Nest with a couple of lvl 40ish characters. About this time we formed the legendary perma with Yarr, Shiloh, Scyth, Nippler, Whisp, and myself. Nippler would later be replaced by the vastly superior Mikey, and it was all hunky-dorie for a couple months. Lots of great memories from that time, because we were all figuring out stuff together, without the help of high-lvls or online guides. And meanwhile we were all becoming friends.

Stuff came up in early spring '04 for me irl, and for alot of different reasons, I decided to quit the game. Mainly the whole no job, no school, no direction thing. So during the summer I got my act together, got a job, enrolled in GSU, and put a little money back into my savings. Meanwhile Whisp still played on and off, and stayed in contact with all our FF friends. Late Oct '04 I decided I was kinda bored and looked into playing the new mmorpg World of Warcraft. I tried the open beta, but I didn't experience that community atmosphere that I had in FFXI. So in Oct '04, I started a new Thunderstomp. I was kinda undecided on my main job until around New Years, when I put up an online poll asking people what my main job should be. They picked Monk.

Monk has been alot of fun, especially since I caught up with Whisp's Bard around lvl 62. This time around I've also been part of a cool LS, something that I was against with my first character (Hokuten drama got old really quck for me). But CKD has helped me along with all the quests and missions and stuff that stand in the way of lvl 1-75. I've been a part of CKD since lvl 1, no subjob, which I thought was pretty funny, and I can honestly say that friendships keep me playing this game. I want to thank everyone who has helped me out. *Pause for applause*

i think its cool to see that CKD actually does care and will help others out, i bet no other big ls has helped out some one in the same way they helped you out. even though youve been friends with the members for like ever, its still suprising to see that they took you in @lvl 1. i dont think ive ever seen that before, specially with an LS as big as CKD is, you should be honored and proud at what you have accomplished, i know many people including me who would kill to be in your place and have what you have. congratulations.


and for the record, nippler was one of the best early blm on ifrit that i knew, snook and nook were a good team too, but he cheated.

You level pretty quick, I remember when I went to visit Ifrit for a week, I got my WAR to level 10 and went to jeuno and I saw you walk by to a party in CN, and you were only 38 or 42 not sure but we talked a bit. And you told me about your Dragoon and everyting, mabey you remember me, my name was seminole but now I don't have that char anymore.

Well congratulations on level 75 you level pretty fast, since we first talk about 1-2 months ago^^
