Post subject:  Friends FFXi inst working properly.....need help
My friend just got 1 of those 2 month free trials for FFXI. Well when my friend clicks create character his screen goes completly black, you can still hear music and stuf but you cant see anything. Is this a video card problem? or is it a simple problem as edting a file code? Im not sure of what his Video card is, but he says it should fit standards

Mine did this a long time ago, Just turn on the "Simplified Character Creation Visuals" in the FFXI config. Should fix it.

Funny thing is, you use the Video Card that FFXI reccomends you use, and you still can't get the great visuals for the characters to show up! Lowsy P.o.s :o Lol, but yeah, I had the same problem starting out too. . . this should be one of those FAQ's bundled with the games.

yeah had the same problem a while back as well, using simplified will work, or you might try changing resolutions, thats what did it for me. go figure...
