We knew this was coming for ages, but it's exciting to finally see the update for it. New Areas of Dynamis! Dynamis, introduced in February 2004, is a collection of special battlefields designed for alliances with a maximum of 64 players. As mentioned in the recently released Topics article regarding the Fellowship system, the simultaneous display of characters on screen is limited due to memory restrictions on the client side, which created fears that such expansive battles would create too great of a processing burden. However, the FINAL FANTASY XI Development Team made player enjoyment the main priority, and worked hard to make Dynamis a reality. As of now, countless players have ventured to Dynamis, but the extraordinary difficulty of the areas makes return trips a necessity. In the last version update, we introduced the new area "Limbus" for an alliance of 18 players to enjoy as often as they wish. The area was created with comments in mind that Dynamis requires too much time and too many people, and as a result, Limbus was made comparatively less demanding. However, Limbus is rather straightforward, and players who have already conquered Dynamis may find the area lacking in excitement. Therefore, we have decided to release new Dynamis areas for advanced players. The following areas exist but have yet to be made public: Dynamis - Valkurm Dynamis - Buburimu Dynamis - Qufim Dynamis - Tavnazia In the next version update, we plan to release the first three areas to the public servers. New features will also be released in accordance with the new areas. -New story developments -New items that can be used to improve relic armor -New items available only in the new Dynamis areas -Relic equipment and ancient currency that players could earn in previously released Dynamis areas will also be available in the new areas Both the "Rise of the Zilart" and "Chains of Promathia" expansion packs must be installed in order to access the new areas. As in previously released Dynamis areas, players may enter the new areas once every three days. In addition, up to 36 players may access the new areas at a time. We hope you enjoy the challenging new areas. FINAL FANTASY XI Development Team (11/28/2005) http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/information/1128.html |

Entry Requirements: Hydra Corps Battle Standard ![]() Sounds like they're gonna add AF2+1 too, lol. Also, the lower cap on the number of people at a time might be somewhat interesting, especially for larger Dynamis LS who are hoping to migrate. Perhaps the 3-day lockout will be separate from normal dynamis zones? |

Btw, SE need better players omg. ![]() Paladin using Great Sword and Berserk while wearing full Koenig Armor, lol. I guess theoretically it could be a WAR, but still a dumb idea to try and DD anything when you're wearing full Koenig (-60 STR). |

I think a good thing to realize with all the new dynamis zones, and things to do for end game linkshells there'll probably be less of the stuff you see going on with linkshells competing for scheduled Dynamis entrances. So pretty much, this frees up time slots for linkshells to get in and have a whack at the older zones, while the more experienced raiders can dig into the new junk. ![]() |

I hope they seperate the 3 day timer for these new zones from the city/ice zones. |

it wont be a seperate timer. Heres the reason. When you click trail markings and you cant enter dyanamis due to you being in dynamis less than three days prior it says: You cannot enter any area of dynamis for xx hours. They also said they are not trying to make currency easier to get, so if you can do dynamis 4x week rather than 2x that would make it easier. |

I'm pretty sure that these will not be on a separate timer as the other dynamis's's's's's. My reasoning is this: With the current flux of players doing Dynamis being so big, the more experienced shells are being forced to work a schedule around other shells. On friday nights there are 6 dynamis LS's that do dynamis. And there are 6 current dynamis zones. Now, if they introduced these new areas and had them on a separate timer, this problem would not only continue, but it would also compound in the fact that everyone will be scrambling to get to the new zones. On top of all that, can you imagine potentially doing dynamis 4 days a week? Basically your LS could do nothing else b/c people will need to xp those other 3 days to make up for the massive xp loss. |

They won't make the lockout timer different. Why? Currency. |

I think if they do AF 2 + 1 they wouldn't be using the dynamis currency. If so would create such a huge demand, that it would make it impossible to do any upgrades lol. Perhaps they'll be adding some other items that allow for upgrading. I'm wondering why they allowed for only a 36 man limit though? |

dynamis 4 nights a week would suck, period. So yea, i'm almost certain they will be on the same lockout timer. The 36 person limit is nice in a way, soooo much less lag. But it's gonna suck for the dynamis LS with more than that many people...some people are gonna get left out. |

the 36 person limit just means u split your raids on the same day to keep timers the same |

I'm thinking there wont be AF2+1 but some different pieces of gear all together. Think about it. 4 new zones, maybe there will be Neck, Ear, Ring and Back pieces for each job. |

I think there will be AF2+1 because if you talk to the goblin in Castle Zvahl he mentions both relic weapons and armor about upgrading. I am pretty sure of this I could be wrong. |

Would be nice, AF2+1 would give some meaning back to it. I also really hope that dynamis lord key item is required, wouldn't make sense to continue the story if you haven't even finished the first half. But 36 people.... that's highly limited. A lot of people will be cut out and left behind. Unless you have a 64+ person raid that can split but then that's going to be a hassle amongst itself. |

exactly...if your dynamis shell has 64 people every raid (no one does) you could split it to two groups of 32 and do two zones. but if it's a more normal number like 40-50 people...thats only 20-25 per group if you split, which probably wont get very far in the beginning. we aren't going to have any pulling maps or routes or anything...you're gonna need every single one of those 36 slots filled, so yea, people are gonna get left out |

af2 for the new jobs in the game maybe? oh and they really need to make it so you have to finish the current dynamis story (kill DL) before you can move onto the next zones. call me a an elitist but i hate when lv 75 noobs and gil sellers have access to the same shit as me haha. if youre offended by me saying that youre prolly 1 of those 2 hoho |

36 players for Dy isn't really a problem for us since the max people we ever have per raid is 40 lol. |
