I thought it'd be fun (and a good way to kill some time at work) for folks to post amazing things that happened to them in ffxi. It can by funny, sad, exciting, etc. Share with us your biggest noob moment, or how you got some uber drop, I'm about to leave work in a few mins. so I can't really get into anything atm, but I will try and think fo something interesting that happened to me and post it later or tomorrow.

getting argus claim after like 22 hrs and getting the peacock charm

getting venomous claw to drop on my orb, then getting harness crafted

getting my opo-opo crown and running around like a pimp

hitting lv30 and getting my ninja advanced job

hitting lv48 ninja and quitting that for thief

quitting lawl

btw peacock charm was only 5 mil when i got it lol..

the day after I quit, i woke up, and the world was bright and large - fealt like that scene from the Sound of Music

i just recalled a time i went through dangruf wadi to north gustaberg river and found about 10 dead players. i was lvl 25 white mage so i was excited to use raise on them. but they never got up. i couldn't make any sense of it. after checking them i noticed they were all lvl 40 something.

now i realize they were fishbots that died.

i also was just thinking how the hell did pyromaniacnub always have so much gil? he spent like 300k a day back when 20k was a lot.

lol i remember pyromaniacnub getting pissed off when i beat him to leaping lizzy claim. one day he finally got his haubergeon, then quit the game lol

first 45 min Roc fight when my old ls was all noobs

first suzaku and genbu fights were crazy wins lol we had all our tanks down on genbu (we thought it was a big deal) and we did nothing with suza's 2hr

one time me and 4 friends wiped to zipanca with other LS waiting to take claim but DoT killed it moments after we wiped and we got drops

First aspid with valour we held for about an hr with limited ppl, took us 2hrs to get everyone together and kill it

lol pyromaniacnub yeah, i talk to him on AIM sometimes...
he got peacock charm one time, that was his first source of big funds, then he spent like a month trying to get haub, then he quit to play like UC 2003 or 2004 lol

I have had a lot of cool moments. The coolest probably getting the kill shot on Nidhogg with holy and getting ebdy from it.

My cool moment was being in the same room as Aalan when I won Kirin's Osode. He lotted right behind me and was going to win if I didn't. It was fun to see his dejection as I celebrated. He of course won Osode the next time we killed Kirin.

hmm, well i felt like such a noob for the longest time because!...

i made it all the way to kazahm with out a sub job and i made it all the way to the crawlers nest with a lvl 4 whm sub..

no one cared untill then, in fact, i dont think most of the people even noticed.

haha same with me on mythiras :P I even used DRK sub until lvl 40 or something I think at one time haha

One time I convinced Ultimaj I was quitting and I was sending him a V.claw as a going away present.

After about an hour of telling him I really sent him a V.claw he went to his box to find something shaped like a v.claw, but alas it was a scorpion claw. haha

He didn't talk to me for like, 2 days, haha.
