I tried to reactivate Kluya on the last return to Vanadiel, and they rejected me. I even talked to several people at Playonline about it b/c the online method said I wasn't eligable. I think I called POL like 4 different times trying to get somebody cool on the phone. Everybody I talked to said they will reactivate a deleted character 1 time only. I was a dumbass and deleted Kluya twice, so they said that promotion doesn't apply to me (I still had my content ID). Yes yes i'm one of those people that struggled with quitting/returning a lot.

What I don't understand is...they will reactivate a deleted character anyways (without this promotion). Everybody gets 1 character restore. From what I gathered, hell will freeze over before they will do a second. This return promotion doesn't seem to change anything from the norm. Unless i'm missing something or they are less anal now.

what I don't get is why someone would delete a character in the first place.. why not just cancel the whole account and leave the characters intact?

I deleted my character because I didn't want to be tempted to return to FFXI. If I had left the character intact I would have been back within 2 weeks...

Yeah I did it for the same reason. I'll admit my decision was stupid...but whatever I don't care anymore. I still have Ephit if I decide to play again. I'll never delete it, I learned my lesson. If anything i'll give it to a friend in FFXI so they can dual box.

i gave him the account so i ultimately have no say over the matter. last time we talked about ffxi he told me his account got hacked n stolen. idk if it happened to untouch, but his kujata war is deff jacked. also, he quit for WoW anyway

If you deleted your character you have 3 months to do the 1 time recovery. If it's been deleted for any longer you are SOL. I would like to hear of somebody that got theirs recovered after it was deleted for like 9 months or something. Didn't Hitmanr delete his character a long time ago? If he did and it got recovered that would be awesome.

They advertise "Return to Vanadiel" like it's this great thing....when really it just does the same thing as before, minus a call to POL. I guess that's nice atleast b/c calling POL sucks. It's more convenient to activate online.

Well why would you DELETE your character? Most people just cancel their POL account.

It's too bad they still won't let banned accounts come back.
