OK umm i got my name of my real life nick name which is mikey ...

Nothing special about it. People named me mikey because of my refusal to be called my real name which happens to be fathers name and since i've issues with that man ( i'm 23 and i just met him ) everyone just calls me mikey.


Anyway i'd like to hear from you. What inspired you to name your characters there names.
I wonder what yarr was thinking when he made that name

I've used Reinheld in every MMORPG and pen and paper RPG I've played. I used it first in Ultima Online when it first came out, and the name I originally wanted was taken, so I played around with the lettering and junk. I like having some consistency. lol

A Bastokian Galka found me and named me Tobatobu. I was raised in Bastok most of my life! Then I started adventuring.

My sister is named Tobatoru! Amazing isn't it?

The sea captin from Simpsons. Me and my friends had a three month period where all we did was just quote the sea captin. Soon enough we were just doing bad pirate impressions.

In Diablo II i had a character named Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. For DAoC I was Yarrthepirate and then Yarr.

For FFXI I just stuck with Yarr.

Peejo and Kailyn are one of our chars in EQ.

Kailyn just because I always like that name. Peejo cuz K likes beer and when you say beer in Chinese it sounds like Peejo.

I asked my girlfriend at the time to come up with a name for me for some other game that we played. So she came up with Ridere. Its not a typo of "Rider," but instead it's Latin (Italian, too, I think) for the verb "To laugh."

The name sort of stuck, even if the relationship didn't. hah hah

Mine was randomly generated... how lame. That is only because my usual gaming name Mangled or Lord Mangled did not seem appropriate for this game.

i just started putting letters at the end of my real name till something clicked lol started just putting random letter ended with Earl-ik

I made vurin up with the help of a random name generator and such.

I have used the name Kyilen in many different games, she started out as an assassin in a MUD game. The name is actually a Drow or Dark elf word from AD&D. I am not going to say what it means you guys will make fun of me :P

My first online game, back in like 1995-96 was Diablo. My name was Manshoon, a wizard from a Frogotten Realms fantasy book.

On to the next game, Ultima Online, it got shortened to just "Shoon"

In everquest you where allowed to pick a LAST NAME, so I became "Shoon Spork".

And now, FFXI, just "Spork"

I originally wanted to be "Cypher" named after that one bad guy in the original Matrix movie. Not cause he was the bad guy, but I simply thought it was a cool name. But Cypher was taken

So I read that old-style male names end in "on" and female names tend to end in "a" or "ia" So I just tacked "on" to the end of Cypher.

And there you have it, Cypheron.

Although everyone calls me "Cyph"

erm i wanted a name that wouldnt be used in every game i attempt to play. so i was thinking of weird names i would name my children if i had any, (seing how the character would become my baby). Xiona had a nice ring to it for a girl, and goes well with my last name. the name i came up with for a guy character was Daedius.

well mines pretty uncreative so...
