Holy shit it started today!! Oh god I missed it.

Whisp and I religiously watch this every year, but I forgot to check and see when it starts. Oh well, Whisp fill me in.

It started right after the Vikings game (w00t we won) which was like 5 or 6 hours ago. I hear it's good.... but I just can't bring myself to watch anything that's on basic cable.

ok wes here ya go:
WARNING - SPOILERS - COVER YOUR INNOCENT EYES IF YOU WANT

there is a whole new crew working l.a. CTU. its supposed to be several years later. the only person i recognized is chloe (the annoying blonde haha). anyway at this point, Keeler is president. he was the guy running for pres against palmer last season. i guess palmer had one too many scandals lol. and now jack works for keeler's cabinet.

a pickup truck full of explosives was sitting on a train track, the train hit it and BLEW UP. some bad guy rode up and stole a suitcase from one of the dying train passengers.

the new head of l.a. CTU is some Erin Driskill or something like that, a lady. the storyline goes that she fired jack a few years back. but now the secretary of defense sends jack to CTU to work on a case. so he and erin clash of course. jack breaks in to an interrogation room and freakin' shoots the suspect in the leg to get him to talk. he finds out the real target is the secretary of defense himself (jack's boss). that's the same level position as rumsfeld in usa irl. anyway, the sec of def gets kidnapped along with his daughter, who jack happens to be ... romantically ... involved with ;p

as a side story there is a Turkish family who is very controlling of their teenage son, making him do bad tasks. i saw previews of tomorrow's episode and the parents ask him to kill his own (american) girlfriend. turkey seems to be the bad country this season, initially.

also as another side story, there is a computer hacker good guy who is being chased by bad guys cuz he knows too much. actually he doesn't even know what he stumbled onto. ok well thats pretty much the storyline so far. it was pretty action packed. good stuff. sux you missed it. it was 2 hours today!!!

yaw, i watched the game but i failed to watch 24 ;-; ill have to catch it tonight.

i just want to clarify what i meant by this statement. it wasnt worded right.

i caught myself before anyone else mentioned anything, but i am aware that like, in iraq or afghanistan for instance, the countries themselves aren't bad, just some of the psychos that live there.



oh and thanks yummy and everyone else, i should be back ingame today or tomorrow. you all know that when i say i'm leaving it probably just means i'll brb in a week or two lol

Yeah I think the Turkish family's name is the Azga family or something. They're not what i'd call a "side story". I think they're in the main plot.

The side story seems to be the[spoiler don't read] internet virus thing and that geeky hacker, although right now it's getting some airtime[/spoiler]

There was a shakeup at CTU, and the only "old" character is Chloey. I wish that the old characters were back, like Tony, Michelle, ect. Now the president seems to be more like a conservative rep (maybe symbolistic of bush?) whereas Dave Palmer was more like a dem it seemed.
