I cant admit im wrong? Thats true, I was premature on my first statement.

But i am still right that we cannot let the world go about it's business without repercussions for their actions. While the United Nations talk innocent people die, and America will not stand for such injustices and you shouldn't think we should just let the world do what it wants. There has to be order, and America will use its power to maintain that order. Not getting flamed hmm what was it when Ponuh assumed I get all my information from T.V.? Unlike you guys i dont even know who this Bill o'whatever is, never seen his show and a whatever a TV says can't influence my ideas.

I am a patriot, but that does not make me think America infallable. Haven't i said that the way America went into Iraq was wrong? I sure did. But that doesn't mean we can't and shoudn't step into wrongful doings and stop them. Period.

This anti-american sentiment is annoying, you guys can't see my points. I can't see yours because its wrong to let Dictators kill innocent people, no? Or should we just let terrorists rule countries, take their money and terrorize other countries.

Point is no one appointed us to such a place to decide what is best for a country.

The UN engages in diplomacy. They talk and try to straighten things out. They dont go "HEY I Have a big army! Im gonna say what is right and what is wrong!"

You do realize from what I gather. We were the ones who put Saddamn in power! Now we get pissed at him and take him out. Chances our us taking him out had nothing to do with the people being harmed. My guess.... he didnt do things our way.

Yes there has to be order. But we dont give the orders! Our nation is a democracy yet we didnt feel the need to see what other country's felt and talk it over with them and have an UN vote.

^^^Wow you've really worked yourself up over this. The basic view you express is more or less noble, just, etc. But the world is alot more complicated then that. People are oppressed, killed, and lives are dictated all over the world. By your logic, we should be establishing military bases all over the world. Genocide in Africa? Alright, take care of that. North Koream dictatorship? Send people over there. Terrorism camps and supporters in Iran? Alright, kthx, get some people over there. Oh right! Afghanistan and Iraq, still need to occupy and rule those not to mention set up functioning governments. People are being screwed over all over the world. Hell, even founders of the the United States expressly stated not to deal in European affairs, although that had to change in the World Wars. Anyway, the function of the United Nations has grown stale, sure, but its at least a forum to organize support for all of the above problems. America cannot, and should not, be policing the world. Its not our place nor our job. We can aid foreign countries, support anti-terrorism, trade movements, etc. but spreading out resources throughout the entire world is not only arrogant, its ineffective and hazardous to our own nation in terms of foreign policy and the economy. Really, I think we do understand that your passionate about helping others in crisis stricken countries, but what you need to understand is that its not realistic and ultimately arrogant.

These aren't the times of World War II (although calling those guys the "Axis of Evil" is a really clever way to draw the connection). World affairs aren't quite as clear cut anymore, and neither is war fare. If we rushed into all the other crisis-stricken countries under your pretense it'd probably start world war III.

Well I know you already "left the forum" atmos but I would just like to add my 2 cents because this statement from you was pretty much the the funniest thing I read throughout this topic. SO i'll only pick on you for this one alone.

This statement is exact reason why terrorism is possible in our world. We are humans just like they are, we all have a brain and some sort of idea of intellegence. Therefore we can do whatever out concsience allows to whoever we want, when we want. The only part that is different for them.... a good portion of them live in hell as an everyday part of life, just like some of us. If you poke and prod them with with a stick they will turn around, strap a bomb to their chest and give you a nice big bear hug with a smile.

I am an american citizen. I grew up in the lowest of low places in my part of the states, if people made someones elses life a living hell, they either let it happen, or they shot/stabbed/and or beat the living piss out of who was making the attempt at such acts; or they attempted to and failed either ending in death or a hospital bed. And trust me it was common occurance.

This world cannot be won in a "fist fight" and never will be, like it was said nukes are trump cards, and it used to be only a couple superpowers had em, now its just a giant poker table.

i care about the people that suffered because of husein just as much as anyone else does, in fact maybe more. Nobody deserves to be treated that way, but there are limits to what one country can do. In my opinion, we shouldn't be there in our current circumstances. If things started out differently and more than just us ran into the country to take it over i would've supported it more.

im at the point now that if we start WW3 and get the shit nuked out of us, i won't even care any more. imo we provoked it and we probably deserve it
