I came home today and checked absolutepunk.net, and it said mitch hedberg (Comedian) had died. I checked comedy central and sure enough it shows a picture on the main page that says

Does anyone know any more details? This guy was the man and one of my favorite comedians.

Damn that sucks, I was lucky enough to meet Mitch irl. He came to Lousiana Tech for a show once and a friend of mine is president of the Union Board( the organization who brings entertainment to school). So I got to meet him for like 10 minutes or so. Not much in complex dialogue was exchanged, but I did ask him one thing - "How do you like life on the road all the time?" He said, "It's not so bad, just gotta have fun man, if your not enjoying what you do then its not worth doing." He went on to talk about how he loved doing comedy more than anything else, besides pot, he noted lol. All the funny ones die from drug overdose, it wouldn't surprise to see that as a cause. His show was hilarious though, and you could just really tell he loved what he was doing. If you didn't get a chance to see him live definitely pick up his DVD, its so funny.

Jim Gaffigan, Dane Cook, and Mitch Hedberg were my 3 favorite comedians of all time.

good choices, i think my 3 fav all time would be: Eddie Murphy, Dane Cook, and Chris Rock. I do like Gaffigan a lot though. Also Tracy Morgan was hilarious live too.

"If carrots got you drunk, rabbits would be fucked up."

"I once saw a forklift lift a crate of forks. And it was way too literal for me."

"I got an ant farm. Them fellas don't grow shit."

"I hate turtlenecks. I have such a weak neck. Plus if you wear a turtleneck it's like being strangled by a really weak guy ... all day. And if you wear a turtleneck and a backpack it's like a weak midget trying to bring you down."

"I got in an argument with a girlfriend inside of a tent. That's a bad place for an argument, because then I tried to walk out and slam the flap. How are you supposed to express your anger in this situation? Zipper it up really quick?"

"I played golf. I'm not good at golf, I never got good at it, I never got a hole in one ... but I did hit a guy. And that's way more satisfying."

"I wrote a script for a guy, and he said he liked it but he thought that I need to rewrite it. I said, "Fuck that, I'll just make a copy.""

"The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how much I play, I'll never be as good as a wall. I played a wall once. They're fucking relentless."
