but you know what's funny.... i believe the whole point of this thread was for folks to be like, "oh wow you like that band too?". That's why I posted a long list.. gives people more of a chance to say, "oh wow jim you're into some of the same stuff i am" but instead of anyone getting into any kind of musical discussion or anything like that, it's just moee lists and then people being dicks to eachother about their lists. see this is everything that's wrong with the world

In order of when I liked them. I listen to alot of music but not all bands can be considered favorites.

- Metallica (my friend's older brother let me hear Master of Puppets when I was in 4th grade... since then metalhead 4 life.. everything after Justice for All can go down the toilet)
- Megadeth (Rust in Peace ftw.. Risk sucked though)
- Testament (The Ritual is my favorite.. Alex Skolnik owns)
- Iron Maiden (so many good CDs with cool themes)
- Faith no More (underappreciated)
- Alice in Chains (Dirt and Facelift are my favorites)
- Soundgarden (interesting songwriting and use of time signatures)
- Tool (of course they rule)
- Death (R.I.P. Chuck Schuldiner)
- Morbid Angel (Black Metal owes alot to Altars of Madness the most evil guitar playing ever)
- Fear Factory (rhythmic brutality with machine vs humanity Terminator inspired themes)
- Carcass (from Necroticism to Heartwork they really evolved, some members ended up in Arch Enemy after breakup)
- Dissection (Storm of the Lights Bane was awesome epic Black Metal)
- Samael (Ceremony of Opposites and Blood Ritual were the shit, but new stuff sucks ass due too much drum machines and techno influence)
- Cryptopsy (Canadian band's None so Vile is the must brutal CD ever IMO, too bad they lost it afterwards and went with lame hardcore vocals)
- Dimmu Borgir (best Black Metal band by far from Enthroned Darkness Triumphant to their latest, sadly stuff before had shitty production)
- Rhapsody (lol hilarious Power Metal, Dungeons and Dragons inspired fantasy shit)
- Children of Bodom (professional musicianship along with a sense of humor)
