lol, it was actually a birthday present (dec. 10th), but I guess he's combining two holidays into one gift. I SEE HOW IT IS.

I've barely started. I have no idea what to get anybody. I try to go shopping all the time (since I work at the mall!), but I never get anything. On Saturday I broke down crying at work after I tried to go shopping on my break and came back with nothing. I just sat on the garbage can for almost 45 minutes sobbing. I officially hate Christmas. It doesn't help that I have wicked bad pms and cramps from hell. Seriously though, Christmas is causing me soooo much stress I'm becoming depressed. Plus, its my dad's birthday today and I don't know if he'll like what I got him (a set of martini glasses). I'm so stressed. Exams were a breeze compared to this Christmas nightmare.

If your dad is not an asshole, a hot steaming pile of poop should make him happy from hsi daughter on christmas. It's crazy how worked up people get about christmas presents. Its about family, dont let retail stores tell you otherwise.

Well in total I think Ill probably end up spending around 950+ bucks Canadian, and that only for 4 people

Kind of stings after spending like 2,000 cnd on my TV and all the accessories I needed for that. Oh but good god watching Hockey and SNL in HD made me cream my pants about 1 million times over. Oh and I consider that a Christmas gift to myself.

I spent the rest of my student loan pretty much on presents for mom, dad, stepmom, brother, brother brother, stepbrother, stepbrother, stepsister, cat, grandparents. In total it was about 200 quid...........thats GBP.

1.00 GBP = 1.76196 USD
1.00 GBP = 2.05925 CAD

Does this mean our economy is better than USA and Canada? Go go Blair!

Okay...so my Christmas shopping is OFFICIALLY done. I'll admit that I've said that a few times in the past week, but I keep finding and buying other things in addition to what I've already bought! I've decided I'm not stepping foot into the mall until after Christmas if I have to. Let's just say that someone is going to have a very merry Christmas this year. :) Also, making a stocking is fun!

still ain't started, with the exception of one gift.... a darth vader toy and these stupid star wars watches we were selling at work for my roomate who collects stuff like that... nice and cheap, wasn't any more than $20 by the end of it, woo hoo

got some ideas off you guys now for my brother, thanks, ha ha... can't really mention it here in case he reads this thread... doubt he will, but i'm not willing to risk it

my sisters and parents though?... hell, i don't know what to get them this year, last year i was just crass and gave them all cash, not even a card to go with it, ha ha, i really don't want to resort to that again this year...

and i have to get a co-worker a gift because we did a secret santa at work... limit is only supposed to be $10 tops, so that'll be easy... I just have to go and pick it up, tim hortons coffee gift basket type thing ftw

i'll wait till i get this years vacation pay in january comes to do my christmas shopping for me :p i'm bad with that, it's so hard not to buy myself stuff i really want through december in the hopes i will get it on christmas

i'm gonna see if i can keep it under $100 all told, i'm cheap, i'm canadian, and i work at a damn BK so funds are always limited

I just started my shopping~

I got my girlfriend (whos a bigger Gorillaz nut than me) the entire Black set of all 4 figures for about $160 Big American Penis Dollars.

I got my mom a new dining table set which she has been wanting for awhile for like $200.

Got my brother a new pair of Red Wing boots, but got a huge discount because I work there, so it was like $85, and about another $20 in care products and boot socks.

---

Still need to get:

Present for Sister - probably a fancy dinner glass and china set or something.

Gifts for closest friends - Dunno, but I can't really go overboard on these, no more than 30 - 40 bucks per friend...and I've only got like 4 really really close friends who I know would expect something from me anyway.

Ahhh Christmas, the time for giving...and also, I'm almost completely broke, haha.
