I think he means that should Obama win, he thinks there will be a high probability of an assassination attempt. It really wasn't that hard of analogy to understand (Denchi), I wonder how it confused you so...

obama should win if you want another stuttering monkey in the white house like george bush.
People really need to get over his whole hope message and realize he isn't ready to be president, the south carolina debate proved that for me. (( I had been somewhat on the lines as to wether i'd vote for him or hillary )), but when he first attacked hillary, and she started firing back, and then john edwards started pummeling him as well, he started to stutter and get confused and honestly it just made him seem stupid to me.

Hes not a bad guy but if you suck under fire you won't win against the republicans.

But ofcourse edwards doesn't have much a chance and everyone seems to hate hillary when she is heated and shrill and is in attack mode, so this race is still wide open, even more so for the republicans lol

My prediction though is obama wins SC, but IMO it will be too late for him, hillary has already won 2 to obama's 1, surviving until super teusday in wich she will take all the bigger states according to polls. If obama somehow loses SC hes compeltely dead.

I actually think giuliani will take florida and then put the GOP guys into further confusion lol, I honestly have no clue who the nom will be. Just for the love of god don't let it be huckabilly. When he said he wanted to change the constitution to be more like the bible or " god's word" or whatever I seriously wanted to go find him, and mutilate him. I probably would have if chuck norris wasnt guarding him >.>

I agree Obama stutters in debates but he's not stupid. The stuttering thing is the biggest flaw I notice when he's debating. But he does get his point across and explains himself well (unlike Bush...dear god don't compare them). His message for change is no different than Hillary babbling about her 35 years of experience and how she will do the best from day 1, or John Edwards being the evil corporation fighter his whole life. All 3 of them have a message they repeat 50 times in every debate.

I've watched every democrat debate and most republican debates since October (when I really started paying attention) and I have liked Obama from the start. It doesn't mean I dislike the other democrats. I'm liberal as fuck and I agree with Hillary and John Edwards on issues. All 3 leading democrats generally agree on the important issues. The biggest difference on issues between Hillary and Obama is healthcare (she wants universal, his plan isn't really universal).

I like Obama more than the other democrats, because he's young and fresh and I believe he will get everything done. Also I believe he will fix the way western hating countries view Americans.

I don't believe polls anymore after New Hampshire, and the Obama vs Hillary race is not over. It will go to the end. John Edwards will most likely end up somebody's vice president which I'm ok with. Obama will do good against any republican other than Ron Paul in a debate (by the way Ron Paul is the only person on the rep side I like). I feel this way because I'm willing to bet the democrat vs republican debates are going to have a large emphasis on the war where the democrats have lots of good ammo.

And about Guiliani, he might as well start packing his bags and go home. He has nothing to offer except his 9/11 talk. Between the republicans it's gonna be Huckabee, Romney, Mccain, and mayyyyyyybe Paul. There is a lot of loud mouthed Ron Paul supporters out there, and in my opinion he is supported by people who are the most educated on the issues. But sadly he is on the republican side and I fear most of the republicans are gonna vote for a bible thumper and avoid our failing economy and war mongering.

My parents are both registered republicans and I tried convincing them to vote for Paul in our primary, but it won't happen. My Mom is voting for Huckabee for religious reasons and my Dad is voting for Mccain because my dad is a USMC vietnam war veteran. Ugh. I already voted for Obama (early ballot via mail).

ugh Dinav made this thread so painful when I went back to look at the first half a dozen pages. It's really funny to look back though at what all people wrote, and how our opinions have changed ...

Haha I agree. I re-read the beginning of this thread a couple weeks ago. I remember this thread and Dinav being annoying.

Ok I know this isn't the most accurate tool in the world, but it's rather close. It's supposed to compare where you stand on issues with 2008 presidential candidates. Some of them are vague but whatever. It's still interesting.

About a week ago they had the guy who made that quiz on NPR. I called in to talk about an anecdote but didn't get through >:(

Not everyone has such a basic understanding of history that JFK is immediately synonymous with assassination. Also, you fuckwits should provide some evidence in your posts BEFORE you begin pontificating on how retarded I clearly am.

Also Madisonli why are you a mouthpiece regurgitating the narrative soap opera that's been built by cable news around the campaigns? It doesn't exist, or doesn't have to exist but people like you latch on to the "story" and the "characters" of it all. I have nothing against talking about the election but do it in a way that doesn't continue to make you look like the most superficial idiot on the planet.

and don't say something like "ha ha jokes on you i barely watch cable news" because you people always latch on to the unimportant parts of my critiques of you fuck guuguguuuuuuu

But...I understood the analogy. \:D/

And what is it with the croc-nazi phrases you've been using lately, that some sort of new trend you're developing?

I agree Kluya with basically everything you said, although I never said I actually thought obama was stupid, I just said in the debate his stuttering made him seem as if he was. My point was that if that is how he acts when he is under fire, he probably won't do as well as hillary or john in a debate against the republicans. Issue wise, as you said, hillary john and obama pretty much all have the same goals

Maybe because it makes politics somewhat interesting Ponuh? :/ How about you take the sand out of your vagina and lighten up abit. I agree the media blows thing out of proportion but you take it way too seriously.
And I'm not sure why you are even saying that, all I said in my last post was what my opinions on the candidates performances in debates were, and who I thought would take SC and florida. I didn't say " HOAH MUH GAWD HILL-DOG AND BARACK ARE DUKING EET OUT, WHEN WILL TEH MADNESS END???? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR SOUTHCAROLINA?????"

Sand. Out. Of. Your. Vagina. Now. PLzkthnx

There are three things that come to my mind when I hear JFK. Cuban Missle crissis, marlyn manroe, and getting assinated. Actually, there are four things, I forgot about the Sienfield eppisode with the magic luggy. lol.

Sometimes I think of the space race, Camelot, early Civil rights, Pulitzer Prizes, conspiracies, Joseph & Ted and even Oliver Stone...but that's long after I think of assassinations, the Cuban Missle Crisis, Marilyn and the Seinfeld episode.

Man that republican debate last night (in Florida) was painful. They all said the Iraq war was worth the sacrifice except Paul (who got applauded). BURN MUTHAFUCKAS. I like how Guiliani said the WMD were probably moved to Jordan sometime between the UN finding nothing and the US invading. Then when he was asked why our ALLY Jordan would take WMD from Iraq since he fumbled. I also like how Paul's closing statement burned all of the war mongering supporters for pretending to be conservative republicans when they advocate spending billions on the war, while the liberals even oppose it. God that debate made me hate Romney, Guiliani, Huckabee, and Mccain even more. I'm glad I didn't have to see any more Fred Thompson atleast.

Oh yeah, and Mitt Romney said he doesn't believe people are going to vote based on religious faith. That's fucking bullshit. Over the holidays I got torn apart by my whole family for supporting Obama (I have an Obama sticker on my car) because he's black and they think he's currently a Muslim thanks to nonsense emails and Fox news. I'm so sick of arguing about that and proving it wrong, it really takes 30 seconds of research. But anyways, religious faith is a big part of the conservative vote.

I like to believe...no, in general with the young people. The old people stuck in their old racist ways are a different story.
