It was my uncles first hand experience from being in the region for so long, and actually dealing with a tid-bit of politics from there. I in no way veiw a woman leader as a bad thing for the country, be it Hillary or another. I was just adding to the comment Jim made, sorry if you took it the wrong way.

I'm a lot more excited for today's results (on the democrat side) than I was for the superbowl.

by the way, FF13 is looking better and better.

The majority of my friends are registered independent because they have split liberal and conservative views on different issues and don't wanna pretend to belong to a political party. Yesterday I was getting pissed of text messages and phone calls like crazy because they were all turned away from the polls (I was harassing everybody yesterday to go vote).

In AZ the deadline to pick a party was January 7th, and you can only vote for your party. That sucks for people who were recently convinced on a side to vote for.

There's nothing wrong with registering independent. They should realize full well that primaries are for parties to choose their candidates and not for independents.

I'm skipping school on friday to go hear Clinton and Michelle Obama stump. Barack is going to Seattle which is fine because he's needed there most. I'm also volunteering for Obama this Saturday during the caucus.

My buddy has traveled with the Obama campaign and is still working on it in Minnesota. He hasn't let me miss any deadlines as far as registering or voting goes.

It's funny.... my Metaphysics teacher is always making fun of a kid in my class who is all for Ron Paul. It's really painful to hear my teacher rip apart this kids beliefs lol. He doesn't do it in a mean way, he just states facts, and facts apparently are not in favor of Ron Paul.

I'm all for Obama, but this race with Clinton is unsettling to me. I wouldn't have ever imagined she would be this close in the race for the Demo ticket. But.... shows what I know.

Are you kidding? For a year she was concidered the inevitable democratic nominee. She was ahead by double digits in the nationals polls all of 2007.

What nobody planned on was Obama starting a movement :p lol

Hillary isn't competing against Barack Obama, shes fighting a movement right now. Will be interesting to see how it turns out. Its split dead even after super tuesday, but barack has more money than Hillary and everyone knows the longer barack has to campaign, the more popular he becomes.

Its unfortunate, because I really believe that a Clinton/Obama ticket is unbeatable. But the longer this goes on I think the less chance of that happening. Ofcourse if obama gets the nomination he couldn't choose hillary, shes way too polarizing.

I like Obama. I just don't trust his message or his experience. I've always believed Hillary knows best how to get done what needs to be done.

I saw a poll saying like 70% of democrats want change over experience, and I was just like rotfl are you all fucking retarded? You need experience to get change.

Sorry for my rant, I'm just really annoyed with this whole Obama movement and how its like a sin if your under 30 and aren't for Obama.

Hillary was ahead at first because she had the popular name out of the democrats. The more and more people watched debates and researched the candidates their decisions split. Obama's movement is legit because while he's just as liberal, he won people from other parties with his powerful voice and mature attitude (as opposed to Hillary's psychotic childish 7 year old girl jumping up and down because she can't have her barbie attitude).

A Clinton ticket is very beatable. She is doing well in primaries because her only support is half the democrat party. Meanwhile she is hated by everybody else. John McCain is hated by hardcore conservative republicans (who supported Romney, Huckabee, Thompson, and Guiliani). McCain's support is all independents and moderate conservatives. If Obama runs against McCain..every democrat, many independents, and even republicans will vote for Obama...Obama will win. If Hillary runs against McCain she is FUCKED. Every republican, all independents, and many democrats will vote against her just out of hate. If you want a democrat this time around, you better start pushing for Obama/Edwards...because that is an unbeatable ticket vs McCain...no matter who his VP is.

Her "35 years of experience" as first lady and whatever doesn't mean shit for change. I prefer somebody young with fresh ideas who will fight to get things done. Not another Clinton. Obama knows how politics work and he knows what needs to get done. He will do the job the right way from day 1. I'm personally sick of hearing Hillary talk about her experience while Bill touts racist remarks about Obama, then backpedals and apologizes.

No bush-clinton-bush-clinton please. We need something new.

You are a goddamn fucking idiot that believes everything you read in emails. Do some research before you post something stupid like that. Here I'll lend a hand. Read the whole thing and watch the videos at the bottom.

People who know something about politics go Obama. That's a simple fact because when you look at the electoral math for the general Obama is an undeniably stronger candidate against McCain. People who are basing the campaign on vanities (such as Madisonli for obvious reasons) are likely to support Clinton or Obama (but not for rational reasons)

Oh and Kluya calling bill clinton a racist is probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard, even stupider than people who believe obama was sworn in on the koran.

Let me get this straight...You want somebody who is going to continue the war in Iraq, not change our healthcare, and continue down the path of George Bush over a liberal democrat who has the EXACT same plans as Hillary Clinton? You are a confused little boy who obviously doesn't care about the issues, and if you claim to be a democrat you are a complete failure to our party.

All I did was point out his racist remarks, but I'm smart enough to know he's not a racist. Here's what I said.

And here's the source of my information.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080209/ts_alt_afp/usvotedemocratsclinton_080209004830

By the way, let me make this clear. I will never vote for McCain, expecially if he gets that religious nutcase Mike Huckabee as his VP. As a homosexual, you shouldn't support that ticket at all.

Oh I am not voting for him over obama because of his stand on issues, lol. I'm voting for him over obama for the same reason many conservatives are voting for obama instead of Mccain.

Both will probably fuck the situation up worse, I'd rather a republican take the blame. Hah. Fun thing is I'm dead serious too, I will not vote for obama, lol.

Edit: Although if his VP is indeed Mike huckabilly, then I would probably drop that idea. my hatred for mike huckabee is larger than my dissapointment of hillary not being on the ticket.

I'm actually starting to get excited for Obama. It's kinda funny.... this isn't a good thing to share, but my opinion of him actually changed when I found out Obama is a Christian. Not because I wouldn't have voted for him if he wasn't, but I just didn't know WHAT he was (Muslim, Christian, whatever). From what I had seen (not much) Obama's religion wasn't really talked about much.

Anyways, whatever religion he is he's a good guy, but finding that out for me gave him a human aspect. But believe me, if I was just going on religion.... wouldn't I be voting republican? No thanks....

You are 100% correct Denchi. That definitely isn't something you should share, some thoughts and opinions are best left to one's self. /facepalm indeed.

I agree with Noodlebrain, but anyways

I just got back from my Caucus. I don't know how other precincts fared but of the 90 in our's, 63 were originally for obama, 15 for Hillary, 1 Kucinich and the rest undecided. After a few impassioned speeches the undecideds went Obama. Of our 9 delegates, Obama got 8 and Hillary got 1. Hillary was actually in town yesterday too. I went to Michelle Obama's speech and it was very good. She'd be a spectacular first lady (the gold standard of which, ironically, is Hillary Clinton). I hope the rest of my city (and state, Barack had a rally of 20,000 in Seattle's biggest arena yesterday) breaks as hard for Barack. Washington is a very important state for once and it's exciting haha
