Only thing i've seen ff does is make people too sensitive about too many things. Instead about worring about rl stuff. They've concerned themselves with fighting with people over the internet. This isn't singling out one person. Its alot of you. Even myself. I'm just as guilty of it.

I'm assuming you could never say to your friends don't make me rape you in "insert random game title", since you never really helped them get past it, just helped them hide it. A whole genre of buddy jokes gone and forever lost because your too soft to handle your shit.

Maybe the few times when I'd get reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly pissed off with someone over something, wether it was ignoring me when I needed help or not raising me in time to lot af2 (lol that was fun times) or leaving me out of an enm because everyone will get 200 xp less after I died helping them with something and needed the buffer.

All those times I would log off and feel angry, and the anger carried forward into RL, someone asks me "hey Jim what's up?" and I just wasn't able to explain why it was I was upset.

That was when I realised ffxi was affecting me, so while I havent stopped playing as much, I just lighten up a lot; e .g if someone diagas a mob I've slept and it wallops me I just say rofl and die, instead of wtf, getting angry and still dieing.

So it's affected me in a bad way in the past by making me angry, but now I'm starting to see how a change in attitude in game has changed my attitude in life as well for the better.
