I know a few of you already may sit here and Thanksgiving is over, but I'm gonna talk to you guys about a holiday staple known only as...

"The Kids Table"

the conversation that started it all can be found here:

[ hope you can find the time to enjoy the music Jamie has up, I commented and I'm B. by the way in case you never visited my myspace site or saw any pics or read my blogs or heard any of the music ; p ]

During big family gatherings and holiday events we all recognize it, grown-ups go sit at their table while the kids go sit at their table. Which table do you sit at, why? Does your family still have a kids' table at Thanksgiving?

Do you still have to sit there at your current age?

Do you find it annoying, or sort of an escape?

At what point does one become too old for a kids' table?

Discuss.

This year was just my sister, my mother, and I. We all fit at the table.

Its just me and my girlfriend, so no kids table.

I cooked Thanksgiving for the two of us, and the cats wound up eating more of it than we did, lol (Not that it was bad, I just made way too much for 2 people)

We sometimes had this for the times we had more than one aunt and uncle over. My family is big on its own (7 people in my family) but we have a pretty big dinner table.

Before Talisin and my other Brother moved to Alberta dinners use to consist normally of 10-11 people. We had a big enough table that no one had to sit anywhere else.

My aunt had a card table at the end of the dinner table for the small children to sit at. At my grandmother's there is the same thing. I usually got stuck there at my grandmother's for lack of room -_-

I ate at the kids table this year. I think the youngest person at the table was around 20 but possibly as old as 22-23. There was a couple babies under the age of 2 too, but they don't count =P

Basically its the same people at the adult table as when i was 10... just now I'm older and now the kids have kids =P

I think at this thanksgiving there were 15 people at the table, including a four year old. No kid's table.

There used to be a kids table, but my family tree is at the point where there aren't a lot of kids around.

We had a second table because it was at my aunt's house. Nobody at the table was younger than 23 other than my cousin's baby. It was a kids table in a sense that my grandparents, parents and aunt and uncle were at the bigger table. Usually at my parents house we can fit everyone at the table in the dining room.

I don't recall ever sitting at a different table... At Thanksgiving, we all eat in the living room at my grandma's house...

Although, when my little brother and sister were born, I'm pretty sure there were kid's table times, and I had to sit there a few. But since there;s a 10 year age diff between us, it was only for a bit.

However, when I went down to see my family with Snaake recently, we ate out (it was Disney resort thing, and free) and all the 'big pipples' sat at a table half way across the room and me, Snaake, (21 and 23lol) at with my bro and sis at a smaller table. I MUCH more enjoyed that...

But I have awesome siblings, so whatever. :D
