Some people are selling Wii for around a grand, and some are selling them for $350ish. Most of them I saw included games and controllers, so the $350 isn't such a bad deal really.

I saw one auction for (no console) a Wiimote, Nunchuck, and Classic controller (listed as a "Nintendo Wii") for $350. There are assholes on Ebay trying to screw people with things like that. Amazon was selling Wii consoles in Auctions in the $700 range last I checked. Amazon also had people selling Twilight Princess for $130 lol...I've seen that game at many stores here on the shelves still.

So I was reading my emails today (shut up Yarr), and someone had posted on a conference forum - "Playstation 3 for $1100!!!". In response, about 15 people jumped all over him saying things like, "who the hell has time to play in teacher's college?", "who the hell has that amount of money while in school?", "you're an opportunistic asshole", etc...etc...They also went on about social justice (that's what my school is all about). It was pretty funny, but I'm shocked that this guy would try to sell that through the students. TERRIBLE.

overheard PS3 quote of the day from a friend: "Dude, seriously, for the current price of a PS3 these nerds could literally buy themselves into a going rate 20 minute audition with an actual amateaur porn star and actually get some!" It was so wrong, but I laughed all the same.

Yeah sunshine and I talked about this a fair bit last night. I pretty much cant stand that a console launch will always be about oportunist trying to make an extra buck by exploiting some poor kids parents. I really wish Ebay had not allowed any sales of PS3s or Wiis

I've been looking for a Wii like crazy still, and I always look at the games section. Zelda is in stock at almost all of the stores I looked at here. I almost bought it yesterday...dunno why lol. I want a fucking Wii.
