You broke the internets! Sounds like something is trying to assign the same IP to two different devices. |

Well, I'm not super network savvy, so I dunno. I don't think it'd cause any harm, persay, but it may screw around with any programs that are requiring a unique computer id/IP or whatever. TCP/IP stuff. But I don't know if you use your computer as a server for anything, or are expecting any remote connections. |

Windows - System Error There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network Edit: Appears as a system info bubble in the bottom right, like how it'll tell you about unused items on the desktop, or windows updates, or whatever. |

Start>> Control Panel>> Network Connections>> 'RIGHT-CLICK' Local Area Connection and select properties>> Highlight TCP/IP Properties from the component list and then select properties... ![]() Your IP/DNS settings should look like this, if not, then screenshot the results and either PM them to me or post them here. Edit: Ok. imageshack is breaking, but they should both be set to automatic. |

Your IP/DNS settings should look like this, if not, then screenshot the results and either PM them to me or post them here. Edit: Ok. imageshack is breaking, but they should both be set to automatic. Yep they both say automatic on mine. Thanks for the walkthrough (*'-') I guess it was just an anomaly. |

i got a message like that when playing CSS over our house wireless network or something, maybe its the other way round but basically some servers would black us out when we died because it figured we'd tell the other person where the baddies were hiding etc trufax: we did, so dont play on those servers anymore. |
