I've been searching through scholarship websites all day, so I'm just wondering what you others who are in/graduated college payed for it?

Parents/Loans/Job.

My parents pay for tuition, and they use financial aid for some of it. I work to pay for living in AZ. Food/Gas/Everything else. It costs about $8000 per semester to attend ASU since I'm not a resident.

in Georgia, the HOPE scholarship pays for your tuition as long as you keep a 3.0 GPA. on top of that i've gotten several thousand in grants, and a loan just in case.

loans which i didn't have to start paying till 6 months after i was out. Worked about 40hrs/wk for food/rent. My biggest tip is buy used books. Look for ones with notes/highlighter :dbanana:

I've been working for the same company since the day I graduated high school (8 years this may), and I'm a fiber and DSL design engineer with no college education (worked my way up...long story). It pisses co-workers off lol.

I don't think I really need to go to college (I'm taking network systems technology or something) but it's mainly so I have a degree for my resume instead of just certifications.

$8000 fuck me sweet bananas lol, is that money payed directly to the uni or including living costs?

It costs me £1200 directly to Uni, £700 of which my local council loans the money for, then I get a £4000 loan for living costs, so I'll graduate with debts approaching £20k. My family supports me when I run out of money, which happens about 3 times a year as my loan always comes into the bank just after my rent cheque goes out lol

My course was expensive for a two year college program. I think it was upwards of about 12,000 in total. I had about 4k saved before I started and I managed to get a good paying part time job from my co-op (where I still work now) during the school year. I was able to make enough money that I was never in debt.

Mine is somewhere around $32,000 =/

I think a lot of the cost comes with non-related courses like speech and english, and some of the courses I can test out of like I did with the writing and hopefully the A+ part of it to bring the cost down some.

I would honestly do that if I wasn't too paranoid about my gentials going under the knife. I want a vasectomy (sp?) because I've made the decision I don't want kids, and I don't want to knock some girl up when I don't wear a condom during drunken secks. Same problem. Back on topic! lol. School in the US is cheap and student loans have a low interest rate. The problem is...some people get extra student loan money and live off it. That will hurt later in life! Hell my ex girlfriend used student loan money to study abroad (she failed all her classes) and travel Europe. She was well over $30,000 in debt and wasn't near a degree when I first started dating her. No way I was gonna marry her and take on those payments haha.

Well keep in mind I go to a state school and it still costs me $8,000 a semester.....

Almost all of my friends from back home go to private colleges in Minnesota and California and they pay upwards of $40,000 a year. They're all rich and their parents pay for everything, but it's still fucking atrocious how much school costs around the US. There needs to be more funding.

My girlfriend gets paid $2000 a semester to come to ASU. I guess it pays to be smart.

I pay $5,000 a semester to live/go to my school. I just got a nice townhouse with some roomates from my dorms for $700 a month. Since my school meal plan costed more than my actual classes, i'll probably be pay something like $1,400 for classes next year. Muahaha
