![]() ![]() Honestly, I dont see how Heath Ledger is going to play the Joker. I dont read any Batman (I plan on reading some of Frank Millers run), but Ive always seen the Joker as more of a Super Villain who depends on his mental wit more than his physical power. Heath Ledger just makes the Joker look more beefed up than he should be. |

It's Heath Ledger under that mask. Unless all the henchmen wear the same exact clothing and have the same exact hair has he does. Look at it closer. |

mind you for a sec, its entirely possible they haven't finished the final look for the joker. You gotta remember that sometimes movie studio's add cg add effects in the final scenes |

Ok I'm confused about something. In the old Batman movie the Joker kills Batman's parents...in Batman begins it's that guy who Falcony (how ever the hell you spell that name) has killed after the trial. Which is true? I didn't read the comics so I don't know. I've seen all the Batman movies and I'll say it again...Batman Begins owns them. I'm very excited about the sequel. |

the joker killing his parents was done for emotional effect and to add a hook that connects batman to joker. In the comics, i believe it was just some random criminal who killed his parents. |

Never read the comics but after the guy from the tv show (Victor Romero? Can't remember) and Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger seems a touch too young for it. |

If you're interested in the Joker's origins, Alan Moore's The Killing Joke is pretty much the definitive Joker comic. How he's set up is pretty tragic. You really feel for him despite the fact that he shoots up Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), paralyzing her waist down for life and tortures Commissioner Gordon fairly graphically. Via flashbacks we learn that Batman basically creates the Joker as he is now (albeit accidentally), just as Joe Chill created Batman by killing Bruce Wayne's parents. And iff you're interested more in Joe Chill, he plays a big role in Batman: Year Two (which isn't nearly as good as Year One written by Miller). The Joker had nothing to do with the death of the Waynes, it was just for the Tim Burton movie. |
