I really really hate batman. And superman. So retarded. In fact the only super hero comic-ish thing I've ever liked was x-men. Don't know why x-men is really cool to me but super man and batman are retards lol. I wonder if they make a batman movie and catwoman is cameo in it , if they will get halle berry to play it lol |

my thinking is "no" on the catwoman thing. Just a slight hunch. |

I loved 300 because it was borderline pornographic haha |

That movie might suck hard. Very sad since the previous one was pretty good. Heath Ledger just won't make a good enough Joker imo. 300 was good because of the ridiculous violence that made it almost video game like. The cinematograpy was pretty damn good too. There was only one real sex scene in the entire movie, the rest was implied with overtones and innuendo. People that are scantily clad and such, that isn't pornography or even borderline. |

Sin City and 300 were both written by Frank Miller and were both comics obviously. V for Vendetta and Hellboy were both comics as well (Darkhorse comics actually). |

Wait ... Shit did I not get the memo on this or something? When did ponuh come out of the closet? I knew he had a man crush on Kluya but I wasn't sure if it was just like a innocent "If I was gay I let him ravage me" kind of thing or a full on "I want you to make so I have trouble walking the next day" kind of thing. I think I need to do some necropost reading. Other than the Kluya crush I didn't see any other hints. Oh wells. On track, I can't wait for this film to come out. |

Yeah ponuh's the new cocksucker on the block omahgah. Meanwhile heath ledger will most likely suck, christian bale will continue to be awesome (omahgah make it hard for me to walk please), and I assume tom cruise's wife won't pop up in this sequel because batman isn't a scientologist. |

christian bale is an excellent actor who doesn't seem to entirely fit as batman. He's fine as bruce wayne but when he's batman it doesn't work as well. |

mmm well I did like 300, but I didn't even know it was based on a comic until after I saw it. Sin city though, I knew was a comic and I did love that movie as well |

I like Batman Begins better than all the others (i've seen them all...even the later really bad ones haha). Batman Begins is actually one of my favorite movies. Heath Ledger being joker is fuking lame. I honestly feel that will ruin the movie. Bring Jack Nickolson back goddamnit. He played that role sooo well. He's still kicking. He did an awesome job in the Departed IMO. |

I liked Sin City a lot more when i thought it was mimicking the style of the comics as much as Hollywood had the ability to do. Now I hold it in slightly less esteem since I've seen Renaissance: Paris 2054. The entire movie looks more like a Frank Miller book than anything and it makes Sin City look sloppy and lazily put together. |

That looks good but I wouldnt compare it to sin city on the basis of feeling like a comic, because thats fully computer generated, sin city wasn't |

Sin City is about the characters and the story. Not just the film noir look lol. Gonna have Marv cut off your limbs and tourniquet them and have your pet wolf eat your entrails. |

No, it's mo-capped and rotoscoped combined. It took an insane amount of time (6 years) and Rodriguez says he was aware of the process when making Sin City (implied: he didn't want to put in the effort) |

Good visual style doesn't negate character development. Sin City has unique storylines but it all falls very snugly into a pre-specified noir category. The visual component is the most compelling point about the movies. Minority Report had a MUCH more interesting neo-noir story. anyways: here's from sin city the comic [/img] ![]() and here's renaissance: ![]() It's hard to argue that Sin City wouldn't have been better in that style. |

not sure entirely what motion captures/rotoscoped is but, if it took that long, sure as hell doesn't look very good for the amount of time put in. looks like any other stylized cg animated movie lol, doesn't seem like anything special is going on , to me. But I don't know much about animation *shrug* so i can't appreciate how it was made or the extra time it took. But it doesn't look like anything special, Sin city and 300 were visually very unique looking to me, and I enjoyed them. |

Iirc rotoscoping is somewhat like mo-cap but for cartoon style animation as opposed to videogame cg style animation. Has something to do with overlaying frames of mocapped movement and hand-drawn art, you could wiki it lol. It was used to give a ghastly appearance to the Ring Wraiths in the old Ralph Bakshi animated Lord of the Rings. Also fairly sure it was used for Betty Boop to give her ass-shaking a more realistic appearance. Ponuh wrote: christian bale is an excellent actor who doesn't seem to entirely fit as batman. He seemed to be trying to imitate Miachael Keaton's "I'm Batman" voice as Batman. Though I doubt it, we could say that the character himself was just getting used to being Batman, so the part was played that way (just as Christian Bale was getting used to it) and we can see how he does in #2. I'm hoping Gary Oldman gets more screentime as well, though the combination of Oldman+Bale onscreen for more than a minute would probably result in the apocalypse. Meanwhile I just recently saw The Prestige and I have got to say it's one of the best movies I've seen in a while, I watched it twice. Christian Bale was friggin great in it, David Bowie pops in walking through a wall of lightning, Andy Serkis (gollum) plays his assistant, and Scarlet Johansen is a hotass magician's assistant. Oddly, Bale plays a char named Alfred and Michael Caine is also in the movie. Zeeeroooo degrees of separation. |
