Hey there, just bored lurking around on forums and youtube. Figured some of you guys might find this interesting. So what's the big deal? That's a synthetic voice your listening to 'singing' Aria di Mezzo Carattere (japanese version of course). Here's a video of the software in action: The voice sample ("she's" 'named' Hatsune Miku) used in the video I just linked above is specifically refined to be a 'japanese idol' singer (hence the high pitched 'cutesy' sound). They used a voice sample from a japanese voice actor, Saki Fujita (not a real singer). You input the the notes and words and the software cranks out the sound (little more complicated then that but that's the gist of it). It's pretty cool. There's suppose to be an english library sample too. Oh, in case anyone is wondering, the original song in the video above is Uninstall by Ishiwaka Chiaki for the sci-fi mecha anime Bokurano. Wonder how far they'll take this synthetic voice software. Anyway, here's a trippy mix, using a combination of the Vocaloid software singing an idol game song and mixing in the crazy german kid spazzing at his computer we've all come to know. Reminds me a bit of Antares Autotune, but looks simpler to use somewhat. Check out the Roland VP-550 from winter NAMM 07 Demo: cooler demo: Jordan Rudess from Dream Theatre plays with it lol: |
