well rem I see that 3 year warranty on parts and labor is not bad but downside is Resolution is maxed at 1680x1050. my desktop and lappy is maxed at 1920x1200 which is great. |

My stepbrother has that Samsung monitor haha. He has a good gaming PC and IMO that display looks awesome. He had some dead pixels on it and used the warranty. He said the customer service was suprizingly good and they sent him a brand new monitor with a box to ship back the old one, no problem. |

Yea the warranty I have doesn't have a minimum dead pixel coverage so even if my monitor has one dead pixel I can trade it in for a new monitor. If it happens to be discontinued they'll get me the new model that replaced it or store credit. Panther: What's the size, brand and specs of your monitor? I couldn't find any liked with a higher res than 1680x1050 for my price range. My budget was the same as Yarr. The 2ms response time was what I was recommended for my gaming PC, but I don't really see any difference between my old 5ms monitor and my new one with 2ms. |

If your anything like me, you'd do your homework. Look at the technical specs. 8ms minimum, if you can try going even lower that on the ms side. And high contrast ratio is always good.Find a balance thats good for you, and most importantly go to a bestbuy or futureshop and take a look at them in action. And yes samsungs are great. So are sony's , but their expensive and who are you trying to impress. Yourself. Besides that i know you'll go over it with a fine eye lol. Just let me know what you picked lol. |

I almost bought this last night. Samsung SyncMaster 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (226NW) It's pretty much exactly the same as the one you guys are pointing out. The only difference is that this one doesnt have DVI. Its 339.99 with out DVI and 399.99 with DVI. Im not really into the idea of paying 60 bucks extra just for a DVI. Its retarded.I really dont want to spend more than 400 bucks on this monitor. |

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... k=HW223DPB That's the monitor I use. Personally, I'd go with that Benq Kioto posted. That's pretty hot. |

That's the monitor I use. Personally, I'd go with that Benq Kioto posted. That's pretty hot. But that one is nice too, i'd be very undecided between the both. It would probably come down to reviews for me to make a decision. I'm actually just waiting to pay the rest of my newegg card to buy 2x 8800 ultra's and this monitor. Blah so many things to buy so little money ![]() |
